If Jerry West convinces Durant to come to GS. Jerry West needs to go to the hall of fame again for being the greatest executive in sports history.

He got us Kobe and Shaq. He's pretty much already there.

Yeah that was a direct result of him mouthing off on twitter. He sold his shares some years ago I think though. I remember reading a lot about how Jerry was grooming Magic, but when it came right down to it Jerry chose his own kid over Magic. Must hurt, but I think Jim is a large reason why Magic is no longer a part of this organization.

Funny, I was going to post the exact same thing from Ben in my post, which is why I was wondering what everyone else thought (tips cap)

Except, even with those minutes that Ben laid out I would rather keep Lou for the contract that he has instead of having to fork 4 years, $70 million for someone who is competing for minutes.

    Haha suck it Boston.

The Warriors would be the most loaded team ever assembled. The question does he mind getting blasted for jumping ship to a team that just barely squeezed by OKC?

I won't say that yet... I'll wait until we get the official confirmation. These days media guys say whatever they can to get attention, some of it completely fabricated.

I doubt that's fabricated. Young is a reporter for OKC. He's probably as well connected as anyone. I never thought he'd go to Boston. He's not leaving Russell Westbrook to play with Al freaking Horford. If he leaves it'll be because he's not afraid of taking the heat and signing with the Warriors.

Entirely possible. He might also be attracted to playing in the East where he and a decent partner will make it to the ECF pretty much every year.

Well if he does that then he's an even bigger b**** then he would for signing with the Warriors. Don't get me wrong I want it to happen because it means we have a shot at Westbrook, but it's dissapointing that Durant would do something like that.

by some accounts, durant could have played with horford AND westbrook in OKC had he just agreed to sign on long term. why would he move to boston just to sign on with horford and a bunch of bench players? cuz brad stevens? really?

Unless they can somehow acquire DeMarcus Cousins with all those picks (no chance) I don't see any reason to join. Even then Cousins would probably just screw up their chemistry and try and get Stevens fired.

I actually think Lou Williams will do well under Luke. I think he will benefit a lot from having a real offense to play in and his contract is a bargain compared to what folks are signing for now.

    Curry (12.112) / Livingston (5.782)
    Klay (16.663) / _____
    Durant (26.54) / Iggy (11.131) / Mccaw (.5)
    Draymond (15.33) / Looney (1.182)
    Ezeli (3.013 QO) / Jones (.976)

    JT - .945
    2 Cap holds - 1

    Total - 95.174

Man the Warriors are over by 1 million if they just get rid of Bogut only. So close. If they dumped Looney and Durant took a 300k pay cut they could afford to keep Ezeli's QO and keep a center. Would Durant take a 1 million dollar pay cut to keep Ezeli on the books? I think he would.

Want to know what headline would cause a massive meltdown? The return of Ronnie Price lol. At the moment I'm intrigued with signing Seth Curry.

The Durant thing is fascinating to me. We punish guys for not having championships but want them to do it a certain way.

If I were Durant I'd probably head to the Warriors. Not sure OKC will ever get over the hump. He'll get at least two rings with Golden State.
