    I can see big time players forming teams in the Easy. Lebron has 2-3 years left of top basketball. New team can come in and claim the Easy crown.

    Dubs have the West locked down for longer than James in the Easy.

    Wasn't mocking you - sorry if came off that way. Even at 30 wins in the East they're about one magnitude ahead of us. Not in terms of talent but how likely they are to compete for a ring.

    Obviously staying in the Eastern conference is a big factor. But maybe the C Bags pitch was Al - we have a shot at KD and if not we have a bunch of picks/assets to get some kind of superstar. Durant didn't meet with us and we don't have any picks.

    As I said though, he'll regret it in two years when we're better than them.

    No, that's really not "it." One team had a winning season, hosted two playoff games, reaped the financial benefits of that, and seems to be reaping the benefits in Free Agency. Another was a laughing stock, has arguably to overpay and overcommit to FAs.

    Did you forget about the Thunder? The Warriors really haven't done anything to make themselves better. OKC has. It took an epic collapse just for the Warriors to make it to the Finals.

    I honestly don't understand. What about the Raptors?

    Winning and playoffs attracts FAs. Money does, too. Boston can offer both. We can offer one.

    I think real deal is saying they're the new Raptors and they basically are. They'll probably win 55 games or so and lose to the Cavaliers in the East Finals.

    You think Lee is some scrub? Did you forget about Rose & Noah. Lee is a 3&D guy that fits the Knicks extremely well. He'll space the floor well for Melo/Rose/Porzingis. He'll provide some semblance of perimeter D. Rose provides scoring at the 1 guard and Noah is their rim protecting, passing big man. They have no bench but that starting 5 is absolutely Playoff caliber. Even in the West (if healthy as I've always stated).

    No but that's not my point. Their "goodness" is quite circumstantial. They're not fooling me into considering them contenders and I'm upset that they've apparently fooled others.

    Either way the point is moot now. They are certainly better than us. That's okay though. They are still not great and we will catch up soon.
