Yeah, I think Young is a goner.

Technically we have 13 because Black and Huertas are RFAs. Huertas should get the minimum, Black probably not much more than that honestly. He's never shown much more than a quality 3rd stringer maybe an underwhelming 2nd stringer on a bad team. Don't get me wrong I like Black a lot, but his size is an issue when he can't shoot or dribble effectively. I expect Young to be either stretched or outright waived at some point soon. Stretching helps preserve cap space so probably that.

Relax man. I'm pretty sure Woj wouldn't say something like that if it weren't true. This is Woj we're talking about. He's the best in the business. The details will come out soon enough.

That sounds good. So let's say 4 million for both Huertas and Black. Should we try to sign Bass for $8-10 million 2 years, second year a player option?

Well if it ends up being wrong, I promise I wasn't trying to troll anyone. Hope it is correct though. Definitely prefer that option for the team.

Like the Deng signing. I think his age will actually work in our favor. He can naturally play less minutes as he gets older to make room for Ingram. Good leader with a defensive mindset. Also I really wanted someone who could play either combo 2/3 or 3/4. He fits the 3/4 bill to give Luke some flexibility on a smaller lineup. Read something earlier that said he actually played his best when he slid to the 4 last year when Bosh was out. Not sure if that is due to him playing 4 or Bosh being out.

Maybe. I'd rather go after a backup PG though. Huertas is cool, but we could really use someone more... talented. If we bring back Bass, then we need to let go of Black. We just don't have enough room/time for both with Zubac and Nance Jr. also on the roster.

    I apologize in advance. Corroborate.

But, it would seem logical that both Deng and Tim got 4th year TO.

Yes, more talented on the defensive end would be nice.

So weird on that quote of my post on that free agent pitch videeos. I started writing something yesterday, decided not to post it. Then when I posted something today it was still there, after refreshing and changes pages.

And yes, corroborate would be correct. Need more coffee :D

Yep. Both O and D. Both PF and SF. While playing quite a lot of minutes.

Deng played 74 and 72 games the last two years. Pretty healthy seasons. Shot 51.3 percent from the field in back to back seasons. Not bad.

Yes. This seems to be a glitch on the site. You start to post something, change your mind and don't hit the button with whatever you've typed and back out instead but it is still sitting there waiting to give you a "gotcha" if you're still unaware of the phenomenon.

But a "beauty" of the site, unlike CL with its molasses server speed, is that knowing this up front until it's hopefully fixed :Shaqwink: .... is that you just can say eff it and post it and then immediately with no delay delete it so you can be done with "the ghost in the machine".

Lee + Pau/Bass would work for me.

Pulled this from an ESPN article.

"Deng, 31, averaged 15.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 28 games after the All-Star break, when he shot 48.4 percent from the field in 31.4 minutes. Deng's versatility on both ends of the court was vital in the Heat's transition to an up-tempo pace over the second half of the season and fueled their push to the second round of the playoffs."

Oh yeah definitely. I agree both Black and Huertas are 3rd string. If we sign both those players for 4 million, (and stretch Young) we'd have cap room for two $8-10 million 1+1 contracts. A backup PG and C.

interesting note in the Deng article by Medina. Deng says we reached out shortly after free agency began Thursday night. not a single source reported this. just like with his trades, even in FA Mitch plays everything close to the vest.

Give me Black, Jack/Vasquez, and possibly Lee. Save the rest of the money.
