Sacre is on the floor most in either a) garbage time or b) with the second unit of the other team. Much like Dacos back in the good ol' years, Sacre is a serviceable big man capable of contributing in limited spurts.

However, he does not do anything at an above average level except hit that little jump shot. He's extremely foul prone, an average-to-below-average rebounder, he's not a rim protector even at his height, his man defense almost always results in a foul on him, he's not very quick nor is he very fast, he tends to make bad decisions, etc.

Davis and Hill are both much more well rounded players than Rob is and I love Rob. I think he brings good enthusiasm and heart, he's just not very good. Unless Davis or Hill are in foul trouble, Sacre's minutes should be limited.

Playing him for full quarters at a time truly baffles me. How is that possibly a good idea? I am with you all the way TRodgers. Your breakdown of minutes is perfect. 32 mpg - broken up just has you have it. That's a recipe for success.

Playing him for full quarters is just courting disaster.

The way Byron is managing Kobe and his playing time is by far the most frustrating thing with his coaching for me. It is clear to pretty much anyone with eyes that Kobe is worn down at the end of games. Byron has got to step up and lead.

Translation - I have no idea how to coach without a superstar running the show. Do your damn job and elevate the level of play of the other players on the court. This growing need for him to rely on Kobe more and more is showing he's getting more desperate as the days go on.

If Kobe doesn't play, Byron is lost plain and simple.

So how much of an improvement is Byron over the Mikes? Not much the problem is he's probably gonna stick around for his full contract, lakers aren't going to fire one of their own.

Quite frankly, he hasn't been an improvement. At least not yet. The Mike's did a better job.

We really should have hired George Karl or kept D'antoni. Oh well.

Surely it's about signing some player(s). Scott's job is secure.

Yeah they're far from firing him after all of that went down this summer.

This is probably about what they saw from the workouts they held recently and maybe who they want to cut or keep.

Yeah, there is no way they are thinking about firing Byron. Even if he is not doing a good job, you have to give him another year, to see if he can adapt... adjust to the new team and all. This year is hopeless and it should not count anyway. Besides, having fewer wins will actually help us this time. This is usually unacceptable for our team, but this year, we might as well continue to suck in order to come back stronger next year with some young talent.

If he doesn't get any results in two years... then it's time for a more serious meeting. IMO, of course.

^^Agreed. I knew this year was going to suck before hand, just not this much. I guess looking forward to the lottery is about what this season has become.
