Courtney Lee would be fine, but I don't think we need anymore 6'5 guys. Need bigger wings imo.

Buckle up guys! Who else is aboard this Alan Anderson hype train with me? We need a veteran wing defender. Trying not to get too excited in case we miss out on him, but it's hard not to salivate at the prospect of finally having Alan Anderson in a Laker jersey! If we do miss out on him though, I'd be happy setting with a guy like Alonzo Gee. Or a "bigger name" vet like Chase Budinger maybe?

^You'd probably missed out on Wayne Ellington from 2 years ago; oh, and we chose Wayne Ellington over Whiteside.

Replying quickly to your last 2 posts, yes I do care about 2 max slots with next season's free agents. If we were going to punt this offseason again we should have saved money for Westbrook and someone else, makes us more appealing. If we want to let the kids grow, do it with cheap contracts around them again, and try for the free agent crop one more time next offseason. If it doesn't work then, then it's time to move forward with our youth permanently depending on how good they look, or start trading them to get better. Mozgov does not make us appealing, he makes a lot of money and he is just ok at best. It's a punt, we realized we weren't getting anyone good, so we punted, but it was an awful one. We just won't agree on that and that's fine, I see most have come around on this and I can't see myself doing that. You see it as a B- move, I see it as a D, because at least IF he's healthy he's 7 feet, 6 fouls and can finish at the hoop unlike Hibbert.

Lou Williams, stretch Nick, and honestly, if one of the kids needs to go, they can if it's for the right deal. Although, I wouldn't mortgage my future unless I'm getting back a star.

A lot of you guys need to stop freaking out about Mozgov. His deal isn't bad considering what a lot of other guys are getting. The cap increase has caused for some insane contracts. We have a ton of money to spend and no max FA wanted to come here let alone give us a meeting. We can't assume that Mozgov was our only call, Mitch isn't some rookie GM, its safe to assume he made several calls to gauge interest and frankly, Lakers aren't an attractive team. We won 17 games last season, a bunch of young players and a rookie coach. A big time FA isn't coming here.

Mozgov is much better than Hibbert. A lot of you are missing the point that Mozgov was injured last season and the Cavs handled his rehab poorly. He can be our Bogut. Not as good defensively but better offensively, and he won't be falling down every other play. We still have $40 mil to spend, Mitch might find a dump trade, nobody saw Hibbert happening last season. Let's wait until we fill up the roster before having a breakdown.

I read that they can stretch nick youngs contract and a couple other little moves that could open up 42 million.

If it's okay to give Mozgov that contract because that's what the market demanded, and we needed to fill salary anyway, and if we suck what's the issue with overspending by a few million, and he fills a need, and we have roster spots to fill, and what's the point of punting to preserve cap because we won't sign anyone else in the next few free agencies anyways, etc :

Just max Bazemore or Barnes at this point.

We need a wing better than Harkless (who at this rate we'll also strike out on). I'd sign Crabbe to a huge offer sheet before Harkless.

Or maybe give Deng 2 years/$50 million.

Deng is a good option/starter and quality wing. We need a stretch 4: Jon Leuer fits that bill.

Khmrp, dude... Take a bong hit&chill. You've been a downer since last night.

Can we just agree guys, if our young players don't break out into NBA all stars, were probably not reeling in any big fish. I honestly at this point, wanna take on expiring or perhaps something very close, along with picks or a young, cheap player with upside&see what this team can do.

Only way you improve the team is if you sign Conley, trade Russell in a package with Moz for Cousins or something like that.. Which I still wouldn't be comfortable doing.

I've supported this deal too. But I have given up trying to defend this from fans you just can't reach.

Winning cures all and until then I just have to accept that people won't like this.

When all is said and done this Free Agency we have to remember this:

stretch young only gets 2.5 out, 2 max is going to be 60mill+. I dont know who else we're signing but for I'm sure we're still going to sign a few more multi year deal players. We wont get to 2 max.
