Just pray Ingram is Rookie of the Year next year. If not, you will be in for a rude awakening like you have not seen. Lakers are going down a path that is finally reaching irrelevancy. All because of ego and stupidity.

Jesus, free agency started at midnight not ended.

Just because you haven't heard anything yet doesn't mean they're just sitting ducks.

Signings aren't official until July 8, so nothing's even in the books.

Okay, you're frustrated that no one wants to come to a team rebounding from the retirement of one of the greatest players to keep a team successful for that long, full a rookies. Are you surprised an established player doesn't want to come here? They want rings, we want to build around our core.

After Magic retired, there was a period of mediocrity as well.

    Trust the process.

Dont hate the Harkless rumor....guy stepped up big in the playoffs against those donkey Clipps. Yea he's not a great 3pt shooter but neither was Ariza when we got him. Mo is steadily improving that aspect and considering age, he could have that Ariza like potential. I hoped mgmt. traded for him last off-season, he's really lengthy guy, looks bigger than Ariza

No, there isn't if we are going after the bottom tier FAs day 1. :D Deng, Parsons, Afflalo, Lee, Turner, Derrick Williams, Jeff Green, Crabbe still available. Even Sasha still all available if we are desperate.

Done talking about Moscrap. I thought the feeling would wear off after 7 hours of sleep, apparently it's just as bad this morning when reality set in. Who are the Lakers going to get next? Evan Turner? Marvin Williams? Derrick Williams? Maybe the Lakers can get more 2nd over all pick busts to cover for the Moscrap signing?

Mozgov isn't a third string center. He's a borderline starter. At worst he's first big off a bench, especially given our current bigs.

I find it funny on this board and all the other Lakers boards that I've read that just because we are the LAKERs, we expect to attract and sign all the big name free agents. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those day are LONG GONE. We are coming off our worst season, and what would make you think the big name FA will break our door to come here???

Our main goal right now is to develop our your core and improve year by year. Everybody on this team has something to prove from the Coach to the players. Just get better and all the pieces will fall in place. Whoever we'll sign, I'll support our team no matter what!!

i'd be happy with turner or harkless. both would be great. i like that each can play two positions in a pinch. neither's a long range shooter but both can defend.

Yup. It's honestly probably the nature of conversating on here that is fouling my mood :D.

I'm frustrated at the move. Some of you are content. I go a little overboard with the frustration to express myself in contrast to your contentment. Then you compensate by maybe going a little overboard with your justifications and contentment with the move in response. Which frustrates me more because I was beginning to calm down a little, until I see some justification for the signing that I don't agree with and then I have to respond...

And the cycle continues until I probably appear extremely frustrated (while I'm actually closer to a neutral position when I calm down and think about the deal in a vacuum, instead of trying to make a point and convey concerns with the organization's decision making) and you probably appear extremely satisfied (while you're actually closer to a neutral position when you think about the deal in a vacuum, instead of trying to make a point and spread positivity in the forum).

I'd prefer Turner, but Harkless can work. He's a bit more of a bench/rotation player than a starter.

Maybe Michele Roberts can do us all a favor next year and keep the players locked out when the opt out happens. It would be nice to not see more heart ache when Westbrook decides to stay in OKC.

I say we sign Turner and Derrick Williams as back-up wings, and Thabeet as a third string center.

    Russell / Williams
    Clarkson / Turner
    Ingram / Williams
    Randle / Nance Jr
    Mozgov / Black / Thabeet / Zubac

Not really. But maybe if we ran a line-up of entirely 2nd overall picks (Russell, Turner, Ingram, Williams, Thabeet), it will activate their powers and they'll all turn into the stars they were once projected to be?

I mean we have no idea if Mitch made calls to those other guys and they said no. I have to believe that's what happened. We are assuming everyone wanted our money, but maybe nobody did.

Rude awakening? That applies to people who have their expectations too high. 2nd worst record last year. A roster full of kids. We never stood a chance. I'm excited to watch the kids with some veterans that know their roles and can fit in with our current group and potential future additions. I think I'm actually quite prepared for next year.

That's pretty much where we're at. I think some frustration is absolutely natural about this, but it's kind of misplaced. It should be directed at our tank jobs that have gotten us to this position where nobody wants to be here, not at Mozgov. I mean all things considered Mozgov is a good goon for us. It's an average move, but it's not the worst. It's just not anywhere near where we were hoping and of course it's disappointing for now.

When the dust settles we'll all agree I think that this move was about as super average as it gets. The move is disappointing, but the player will be okay.
