Played well in the playoffs last year? Did David Aldridge watch the games? He played 6 min a game and was 1 point and 1 rebound per game.

    He's talking about 2015.

Mozgov was instrumental in their run to the Finals in 2015.

The guy is a good veteran to have and has championship experience. We do need those types of guys.

Mosgov was/is a starter for a championship squad. On a team that won 17 games? Most definitely a starter.

The only way this move makes sense is if the Lakers have two max deals with other guys. Then at that point it makes sense because they have enough for 2 max and 1 near max.

It's only the eqivalent of an 11.2 million dollar deal. It's not THAT crazy. A little overpaid, but not that much. For comparison Noah got almost 10 more million over the same length of contract and Noah is older with a longer injury history. Of course Noah is also better, but just saying.

Mosgov is not the healthiest player, I just hope he can stay on the court towards the end of the contract.

Or it possibly just makes sense because he fills a need & B-Shaw is comfortable/familiar with him from coaching him in Denver? Also, dat exploding cap tho...

I was thinking the same thing. Why go so strong on a mediocre player right at the start of FA? Hopefully because you're other spots are accounted for and you want to seal the deal with a nice backup big.

We have a lot of bigs btw.

    Nance/Randle/Black/Zubac/Mozgov

Why? He has no reason to come back here. I would rather see him play for a contender.

He's not being brought in for production, Mitch has been preaching about having high character vets to help the young core. Also the cap jumps again next year, this isn't a great deal at all but its not the end of the world either. Also Luke is involved in these things so trust the FO, we were the 2nd worse team in the league mind you.

I'm all for Mozgov. It's a good signing.

We needed everything he has to give. good P&R and rim protection, and he doesn't need the ball.

Now let's see if we get some other quality players.

Pau wants to win. Momo is wrong 90% of the time. No way he is coming.
