Alan Anderson for $15 million and Luke Walton on a player-coach deal at $30 million max for the remaining cap space?

Guys, Biyombo had a few good games in the Playoffs.
Mosgov also was monstrous in stretches last year in the Finals.
    He is worth 15 million.

This just feels to me like Jordan Hill, Chris Kaman, Boozer, Hibbert all over again. How does this improve our team really? How does this take us a step forward. Biyombo takes us forward with defense and rebounding and potential for example. This is another mediocre signing that does nothing to make us more appealing to other FA's or gets closer to the playoffs, it's scraping the bottom of the barrel on night 1 of FA. I just don't get it. You can spin it any way you want, but personally I just don't get it. If we wanted a mediocre backup C we might as well have signed Zeller, or a number of others for cheap. I get that we HAVE to spend money, but we don't have to throw a pile of it into a dumpster and light it on fire. Might as well have started Black at C and had Zubac back him up and said F it.

    Mozgov's best year ever:

    10.6 pts
    6.9 reb
    1.2 blk

wth Hibbert could give us that with the same minutes

man now we have to endure more embarrasment

I don't know that the Biyombo love is related to the playoffs. For some, yes. I've bee on the bandwagon - vocally - for years.

I get that we don't have a center. But why do we offer Mozgov first of all things? Why not offer Biyombo or Mahinmi? I would understand if we missed out on everyone and then signed him, but not sign him immediately.

Who else would offer Mozgov that much money?

Lue changed the game plan and wanted them to play fast more frequently and not so much half court. Mozgov got the crappy end out of it

Be patient my friend! We've got a lot of time left. This deal isn't as bad as it sounds on the surface. Think of it as a percentage and the #s don't sound as bad.

Obviously if this is our ONLY signing then sure I'll be disappointed, but there's plenty of time left.

Woj makes it official by the way. Woj likes the deal actually. He likes Mozgov as a person and player. The #s are reasonable in the new CBA and there's value in him. They brought up the good point: Knicks gave up two 1sts for him at one point. We still have a ton of money left to play with.

Is Mozgov the best center on this team? Yes? Then it's an improvement from last year.

Seriously guys, everyone wants a home run in FA, but just accept we got the coach we wanted and the 2nd pick we wanted in the draft, and anything else is just icing on the cake, but shouldn't be expected. We will spend a lot of money this free agency because WE HAVE TO under the CBA, but not necessarily on stars.

If you allow yourself to look at it that way, this free agency will be a lot less stressful for you.

Hibbert wouldn't though. Mozgov's numbers were about the same as Hibbert's, in 18 mpg.

And one of the first things Walton said about the offense was running more. How the hell does this make sense then?!
