Wouldnt they have indicated they were going to max him by now? If I had to bet, I bet they try and give him less and say they are trying to keep biyombo. It will be up to DD if he wants to go to the ECF every year and lose or go to the Lakers and not win for a couple years and see where it goes.

On a more positive note, I'm glad Ryan Kelly is gone. I'd also look to bring Bass back.

Feeling is that DeRozan only meets with other teams if the Raptors don't give him what he wants.

Well if we get a chance to max DeRozan I'm ok with it now, though I wasn't a few days ago. The reason is that it would allow us flexibility to trade some youth after next season if needed and while still having Derozen as a solid starter. Supposedly next year's free agency will be better.

Yes. Perfect glue guy to help this young core grow and blossom. Brandon is also a hell of a backup power forward and small ball center. Remember how he guarded Cousins? Dude is rock solid.

I would bring Bass back. I thought he played hard.

66 games: 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and a steal at 46% from the field and 38% from three

61 games: 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal at 49% from the field and 41% from three.

Pretty good numbers from Parsons in Dallas over two "injury-plagued" years. If we can get some indication that his most recent injury isn't going to affect him long term, I'd definitely max him.

Given how it was posted that Ezeli will rake in the paper with Golden State...I can see this:

    Option 1:

    Starters: Russell/Clarkson/Barnes/Randle/Bogut [salary dump]
    Bench: Williams/Huertas/Ingram/Nance/Black/Zubac + fillers

    Option 2:

    Starters: Russell/Clarkson/Parsons/Randle/Bogut [salary dump]
    Bench: Williams/Huertas/Ingram/Nance/Black/LOLZ + fillers

Barnes is restricted. I think GS matches now that Durant is staying in OKC.

...the leverage game. Yep, I think DeRozan wants to stay in Toronto where he is the established face of that franchise or is going to be.

Now I think I'm hoping for something like this. Max out Harrison Barnes. I don't really want to, but we need some freaking talent. Some proven talent. Sign Bazemore to 15 million. Trade for Bogut. Give them Lou.

    Russell/Huertas
    Clarkson/Bazemore
    Barnes/Ingram/Brown/
    Randle/Nance Jr./Bass
    Bogut/Black/Zubac

Not sure if it's possible, but I'd like to see that. I could live with that.

There's Deng... Old in dog years by NBA standards but still capable.

That's what most thought about someone like Brandon Bass.

Yeah. No way to sugar coat this. Hoping things look up soon, but this sounds like its going to be a disaster.

But the thing is, we need someone to help us show something lol.

I had already accepted we haven't shown enough to get one of the big fishes this year. But we need SOME kind of decent signing to help us improve enough this year so that we can hopefully attract a big fish next year.

Like if we completely strike out, Luke and Ingram might be enough to improve us to 25-30 wins. I think that puts us in the same boat next offseason and we still won't be able to attract anyone major.

So I've been hoping for a Whiteside or Batum kinda free agent acquisition that can possibly push us up to 35-40 wins. That might be enough to appeal to Westbrook.

Batum is headed to Dallas I believe.
