If Dwight to LA starts to gain traction, I will personally contribute to "Stay AWAY" billboards.

Well we are going to be throwing money at him. I'd max Barnes as well. Screw it.

If Derozan gets the max in Toronto, that leaves BB open. Lakers will have to fork out two max contracts to BB and Parsons to save the offseason.

We are in NO position to be asking "why shoudl we pay X player max". We have to get somebody. This will be VERY VERY bad for our brand if we can't even sign ONE semi-marquee guy. I think if you get Parsons and Biyombo...it's a successful off-season at this point given that we can't even secure meetings with the likes of effing WHITESIDE.

No...no...no! :) Not until we sign Brian Cook. He was a stretch 4 before that was even conceptualized. Find humor in everything...

Good. He's going to be enticed playing with Lillard and the Blazers, though. They also have a better roster, a ready made team to win, and a top 5 GM. He's going to have to be smitten with us and be willing to take a chance on us. It's just the way it is right now. 17-65 doesn't get you big name stars; Lakers or not. Would it be different with Jerry involved? Maybe. However, we've had the luxury of Kobe for 20 years, and we're in position now where we have to work our way up through these rebuilding efforts, and I'll admit, it sucks.

As much as I don't want to do this 'organically', and hate going through more losing, I'm starting to convince myself that the biggest myself that the team can make is through the improvement of the young kids; Luke is already placing a high priority on acquiring developmental coaches to his staff, and that's where the focus needs to be to accelerate the learning curve. I know Jordan, Russell, and Clarkson are working tirelessly in the gym, and we need them to have big years for us to get us we we belong; winning games.

By the way, for any cap experts, does anybody know Portland's cap situation? Do they have enough to sign Parsons? I also know they have a need for a starting center they were looking into...

Guys there's another player that nobody is really talking about that we may have to consider...

    Al Jefferson.
