    Seriously through, at what point do Mitch and Jim look at each other and say to themselves that there is something wrong, we haven't figured it out, and therefore we should step down?

    How are we supposed to stay calm when the Lakers can't even get freaking meetings? How in God's name does Dallas who has nothing basically roster wise and can't offer more than us get a meeting and apparently a favorite for Whiteside and we can't even get a freaking meeting? Durant may meet with New York and they suck and we can't even get one little meeting?

    I'm mostly calm. I've gotten angry hearing rejection after rejection, but I'll wait. It's not even 2 o'clock yet. We'll see what happens at 9 o'clock.

    The sky is not falling yet, but it's being held up very loosely. If 9 o'clock rolls around and Mitch and Jim aren't on somebody's doorstep then yes there's an issue here. It's not overreaction at that point, just the truth.

    ...bewildering and befuddling to say the least. If we get some solid, no-nonsense vets to support the youth movement then it is all good. To be honest, I really don't see us contending for the eight spot but just be competitive enough to serve notice. Is my bar low? Of course, I deal in reality checks...

    I cannot control how you feel I can only say that let the process take its course.

    Last year, everyone on here or maybe the year before on CL (I can't remember) were absolutely freaking out. The Lakers always keep things on the down low. That is why I was surprised about a report that the Lakers were targeting Whiteside and it was publicized. That is not the FO's MO (modus operandi).

    You know about as much as I do regarding what is actually going on (not much) ... that's why I say remain calm and let the process take its course.

    I hear you man. It's just frustrating. I was really hoping we could get someone like Whiteside or a big impact guy. Hopefully we can at least nab some solid veterans.

    Maybe Whiteside is still mad that we passed on him years ago, I dunno. That's freakin wow though, that we can't even get a meeting. Oh well, if this is an awful offseason it's probably the wake up call the FO needs to stop being delusional about our brand still mattering. Market size doesn't matter anymore, plenty of big stars are in the smaller cities/not as big basketball areas.

    I really don't think that's the issue. I think it's more about the dysfunction within the orginization. Nobody wants to play for a front office that seems to have no idea what they're doing right now.
