Spoiler I'm just saying, if Dany shows up on a boat, blonde hair flowing, you're the King of the North, tell me you aren't hitting that if you're Jon Snow...but then you find out she's your aunt. Hey, it could be worse...
Yeah. I watched the making of that scene. So crazy. Not just that, but all the other stuff that went into that. The dressing of the bodies. Amazing that we are seeing this type of stuff on a TV show. If GoT doesn't win the Emmy this year for Best Drama, then the awards show is a joke that is simply handing out the awards in turns to shows like participation trophies. Shows give two episodes to the Emmys for consideration as a taste of their show. GoT gave episode 9 and 10 to them. There were things in those two episodes that no one has ever seen even attempted on TV.
^That scene wasnt CGI either. That's really a bunch of horses running at him. And that uncut battle sequence that followed where Jon cuts down a bunch of guys and narrowly escapes getting killed? Amazing. This is old but if you have not watched it, watch it. It's hilarious.
I remember this. The scene where Ramsey and Reek see each other and kind of stare each other down, but then are super happy and good friends is hilarious.
A follow up on the tower of joy scene. I know they dont explicitly reveal who's Jon's father is, but all signs points to rheagar even if you didnt hear the theory before hand. On the first tower flash back, young ned asks Arthur Dayne why he wasnt' at the battle protecting his prince (rheagar), Dayne replies this is where his Prince wanted him to be. Implying that Rheagar wanted Dayne there to protect lyanna.
Also there's an official graphic that shows the lineage. Spoiler: spoilers but c'mon you know what it is
It is confirmed on the show at least. Kind of weird that she whispers something in Ned's ear that we can't hear, only to confirm it two days later on an infographic on the web. Weird move by HBO.
Only thing I can figure is she didn't whisper the Dad's name as he was just understood to be Rhaegar's son. Some redditor has spent hours trying to read her lips and she thinks she was actually whispering Jon's true name in Ned's ear, and that his name is Spoiler Jaehaerys. Jaehaerys according to the lore is "The 4th Targaryen king to sit the Iron Throne. He was known as ‘the Wise,’ ‘The Conciliator,’ and ‘the Old King.’ His long rule was prosperous and he was aided by his sister-wife Alysanne, who convinced Jaehaerys to expand the Night's Watch and granted them the land now known as the New Gift." Sounds like something Jon Snow could accomplish. Kinda leaves Dany out in the cold...
I listened to it a few times and I have no idea how she can come to that conclusion. The reality is the actress didn't whisper it on purpose because the storytellers didn't want us hearing it. Still weird to announce the connection afterwards instead of just saying it in the show. I thought there'd be some cool twist, but nah.
