Probably both. There's some racist/anti-immigrant ideology here and there's some naivety here too about the dangers some of these immigrants actually do pose. The problem is people these days fight hatred and misunderstanding with more hatred and misunderstanding. How many people actually sit down to discuss things and see where it can go? Not many.

A biased pro-Brexit propaganda video, but still interesting.

Oh. I agree it's probably some truth to both, but people are so untrusting, that good points made by the other side are always believed to be a "cover" for what they really think.

It's like Trump saying we need to keep out Muslims. Whether or not Trump is actually suggesting it to keep Americans safe from sleeper terrorists, people who hate him will automatically assume it's a cover for deep seeded bigotry.

Basically to sum up some of things the week has produced (being British):

    - Cameron stepping down has basically delayed triggering article 50 and will probably take 2 years anyway to negotiate an exit.
    - Not everyone who voted leave is a racist.
    - Both sides (probably leave more) lied about facts regarding the EU and the UK's membership.
    - Nigel Farage is a lying moron (please don't judge us).
    - Scotland will 100% leaving the union if we exit the EU.

Also, in my opinion, it was poorly conveyed to the public the real risks/benefits of leaving/staying in the EU and it became a debate really about Immigration and national pride etc.

    Thank you for the insight!

What do you think was/were the real reasons to leave then?

There are still so many uncertainties regarding so many things at the moment, economy, political party leaderships, the worth of the pound etc. Its difficult to say if there are any good reasons to leave, other than being able to negotiate our own trade deals with other countries without any EU stipulations.
