Oh sure, I feel the same way. I meant for Philadelphia's FO image to jerk Simmons the athlete like that and all the press with what they have been saying. Seems like it would be a crappy look for them. That would be the large chip Ben has been missing on his shoulder that he would now be carrying around as a Laker. Truthfully I'd maybe be even more excited. Luke can get good team, competitive basketball necessities into his head. Not let him be disruptive with a big head, but in a positive, not Boron way.
Didnt you see the news about the 26yr old high school ball player? Its possible cause his place of birth do not keep docs like we do, just like the chinese. I heard yi was also not 19 or whatever when he was drafted, more like 22+
Yeah I think the Butler thing is posturing from someone somewhere. More draft day buzz that probably gets swept under the rug.
...every one with a keyboard looking for hits and clicks. Most of us here have more sense than those rumor mongers.
Rumors are swirling that Maker is really 22 or 23. I'd still take him, unless they lied about his height being 7 feet too. Ceiling is probably lower if 23, but you can't teach height. Worth a flyer.
If by some crazy chance Philly takes Ingram, this video is enough to finally get me excited for Simmons.
Yeah, it's like a Blake Griffin set shot. He has to be wide open for those shots to go in. His fluidity at his size/strength is what's eye popping, he's gets off the floor really well.
Definitely. Nobody could ever question that young man's athleticism. Sheesh. It's too bad that it's difficult to tell what he has mentally from a workout like that. The scrimmages is what made the Lakers really see the difference in competitive spirit between Russell and Okafor.
He's got all the tools and skills with very decent form on his jumper. Just can he put it all together between the ears and can he did it in Philly. Anyone that thinks it doesn't matter where you are drafting/end is completely wrong.
