Like to see if mgmt could try to trade for skal if he falls low enough I knowknow he had disappointing yr at uk but something intriguing bout his sz and shooting in addition to his blks abilities
Im not sure....i thought i read somewhere last week skal workout was the 2nd time, the 1st being less formal than last week.
If you can find a link, I'd like to see that. My understanding is we've worked out Ingram, Brown, and Labissiere once each. Simmons probably won't workout. I'm not sure if we've scheduled anything for Hield, Bender, or Dunn. We've also worked out Ellison twice which is kind of weird since he's going in the middle of the 1st round and is a PF. I believe the Lakers just want to make sure they're making the 100% right choice. Through all the crap we've dealt with, the scouting department is our only real strong point. I'll trust whatever they come up with.
What's going on? Why are you knowknowing here and likeliking a couple times above? In the FA thread. sirron I think if you decide you don't want to make millions of dollars to play a game so that you can smoke weed, he probably removed himself from consideration from anything but D League opportunities to start. "I think that to simpliplistic.....he had issues greater than weed....according to him he did not likelike the life style and had other personal issues. From his recent interview it sounds likelike he has worked out his issues....not saying max him out but a 3-5mill contract won't kill our flexibility" JK
I don't know anything lol....i just want a big that can space the floor and i think skalwill be a better pro than he was a college player
No ... the phraseology. I edited my post above with your sentence in the FA thread. Again just teasing. I had the site yesterday double post me twice. Maybe it was a glitch at LB. HA!
Maybe a trade is in the works to aquire a high pick? That's why they are trying out other prospects? Or maybe just preparing if anyone offers X draft player for one of our X players etc
If you're drafting high, it's both due diligence on players you could take at 2 and its Being prepared in case someone offers a cool trade.
I think I read in one of those reports about Ingram's workout with Philadelphia that he was scheduled to work out with us again on Thursday
Anyone else feel this is kinda arrogant? He "says" he wants to be the #1 pick with all the work he has put toward this "once in a lifetime opportunity", but the teams with the first 2 picks in the draft he won't work out for them. Unlike Ingram. Am starting to be confused by this stance of his camp. What's he afraid of? Does he really in his heart NOT want to be picked #1 by the Sixers and hopes the Lakers will take him sight unseen? Will they if Ingram goes first?
I was strongly against that approach last year and nothing has changed for me. I get it from the perspective of the player and his camp, but from that of the potential team, GM, front office, and any other decision makers in the room...it gives me serious pause about the mental makeup of said player. And for a player who was accused of coasting and leaving it on cruise control, you'd hope he would want to do what was necessary to shake that misnomer.
I never wanted Simmons so nothing I've seen has changed that. He thinks he's better than he is. Dude can't shoot and is pretty bad defensively despite his great athleticism. Give me Ingram any day it's not even close in my mind who's more skilled and the harder worker. Simmons will be a dissapointment in the NBA. He's a prima Donna who half a**** it and will probably never work on his or improved his shot.
