They can't use him as much because he KILLS them on defense. If he isn't delivering on offense he is useless to them. He also has completely sucked on the road a lot of this playoffs. So you have a guy that you can't rely on for defense, can't rely on on the road, and can't rely on to close games. He can have big games, yes, but I think he's been overrated by putting up stats in Minny, terrible team. And this is coming from a UCLA fan, I watched his college career and he was great, but he isn't a Bosh who could defend, deliver in big moments, or take over as the #2 guy. He's more Odom, can have big impact games, and can flat out disappear.

I think you're both right. Love has proven he's less than what he thinks he is, but he's not as bad as he looks now. The Cavs have alienated him quite a lot.

well, that and i'm not sure why cleveland takes a second rounder when they're in win-now mode. i don't think there's a deal to be had here.

I think @KareemtheGreat33 was joking about Love for #32. But honestly I wouldn't even trade Nance for Love. That dude is useless.

C'mon we're talking about an All-Star here, you don't want him for a throwaway pick? I was being facetious about that since Gilbert won't agree to it. But when we get snubbed again in FA, I'm afraid our only recourse is to absorb some contracts to trap players into playing here.

Love isn't going to be given away. He has value to a team like Orlando or something like that. Clearing his cap space off the Cavs roster does them no good. With him being completely absorbed, they'd still be 86 million. They got Channing Frye, Tristan Thompson and Ian Shumpert making almost 33 a season between the 3 of them.

Again, this illustrates my point about this ridiculous fallacy that we have to overpay SOMEONE because the cap is about to explode. If you have a bunch of mediocre talent taking up you cap, you aren't going to get over the hump. The Spurs and Warriors are what they are because they have bargain contracts and no one is really being overpaid. MAYBE you could make the case Bogut is overpaid, but he is still vital to their success.
