I like the Conley idea because we really need a leader. If he is healthy, Mike can orchestrate any offense brought to him plus he can guard opposing PGs decently. I just don't trust DAR to carry the offense at this point. Even Magic had to play off guard his first few seasons.

I predict Kevin Love to LA rumors very soon.

Do not want Kevin Love anymore...

It is true that the Cavs don't do him any favor with their lineup and game plan but a great player finds a way to be an impact player.

Love has proven that he isn't even a reliable 3rd option with some adversity. Can he still be great in the right system with the right coach? absolutely but the fact that he can't adjust is a big problem for his value as a piece. Because as "the man" he puts up great numbers and impacts the game but isn't good enough for rings. And as a side-kick he is unable to adjust.

I bet he's completely regretting signing that long-term extension.

I do think he's getting a bit of a bad rap because being the third wheel to LeBron and Kyrie isn't the easiest thing to do. Bosh has said he really struggled with it at times as he became more and more marginalized. I think what we're seeing is both that Love is overrated and that being the third best guy with LeBron is not as much fun as people assume.

    Love for Griffin.

    Kyrie for CP3.

    There you go.

Kyrie for CP3 would make a ton of sense for the Cavs. Perhaps for the Clippers too.

I value Nance higher than Love at this point. I'm not kidding either.

It seriously makes perfect sense for just about everyone and we've been saying it on this site for months now.

LeBron gets a running mate that's more in line with his own career and thus more serious about winning.
Paul gets away from the Clipper curse and gets an easier path to the Finals.
The Clippers get to soft rebuild with still having 3 really talented younger players, probably still a playoff team even while rebuilding.
The Cavs get more serious about winning now and get a better leader.
Kyrie gets to develop more as the lead guy.
Griffin gets to have more fun without having a babysitter around him.
The Clippers gear up to move to Seattle with an exciting young core intact.

Everyone wins that scenario. It should happen this summer.

If that trade goes through the Cavs would officially be hated more than the C Bags. I'd like to see them trade Love for Dwight just for entertainment value.

That would probably make them a better team honestly and I'm sure Love would prefer a different situation at this point. Being the punching bag for LeBron's legacy probably is pretty bruising to one's ego. Bosh has said as much in the past.

All I said was rumors. Best believe Love to the Lakers will be freaking everywhere in a matter of days.

Love for Dwight would make sense too. Dwight and Thompson gives them a defensive/rebounding tandem while giving Pringles a stretch 4 to work with.

That's a lot of players with no outside shot for Cleveland.

    I like it.

I don't see legit rumors popping up. Love has shown he's a 3rd option at best half the time, and doesn't play defense. I don't see the Lakers being interested in that when we have Randle and Nance for cheap still. I also see very little that we would be willing to give up for him, so any rumors would be shot down for being one-sided either way. We have 2 PF's, 3 or 4 if Bass and or Black are kept or we draft another at 32, and we don't need a C like Love, we need a defensive one. So no, I can't see rumors popping up that aren't shot down right away.

i think love's a second option on offense, but one who needs very specific roster construction around him to be successful. thus, not ideal as a foundation piece.

pringles would murder to get him, though. he'd play him at the 5 and just run all day. love throwing outlets and taking trailing threes. that team could score. not a title team, as dantoni gimmick ball could never actually win against top competition. but still...

I dunno, I don't think legit 2nd options completely vanish on offense in big games. He can't play defense to save his life, and his rebounding isn't as impressive when he faces bigger more physical teams. He's not a Pau, or even Bosh who can step in and be a 2nd or even first option on a very good team, he's an Odom, a luxury to have as a 3rd guy, but not dependable enough as a 2nd guy. This is talking championship caliber team of course, not your average team.

eh, i think one could argue that cleveland makes very little attempt to fully utilize love. bosh and odom seemed sort of happy to just fill in where needed; love doesn't. if given more responsibility, i think maybe he looks a bit better. we may get to see; cleveland will probably make some changes if they get smashed.
