Thin would be a good second round pick, but I fear he won't be there when the lakers pick. We shall see...

I think he moves alright, but he's remarkably thin. He'll need to put on some serious weight to ever play as a big in the NBA. It's nice he can do all those dribble moves, but those aren't going to work or be necessary in the NBA. He needs to simplify his game.

I'd take a shot at him in the 2nd round as a project, but I wouldn't necessarily trade up for him or anything. I expect another team will take a shot at him in the 1st anyway.

It's about time the sport of basketball consider raising the rim. 10ft is child's play for a lot of these guys.

Comment is I reference to the picture of Ingram's dunk.

If he's there @32, you have to take him... he'll be gone by then though ;).

I agree Noel's not worth Russell, Randle or the #2, but I'd do Clarkson for Noel right now and not look back. Then you make a HARD push at DeRozan.

    Noel/Black
    Randle/Nance
    Ingram/Swaggy
    DeRozan/Lou
    Russell/Lou

That is a VERY solid rotation that would leave us with 2 max slots in 2017 to add to.

Noel is not really a center, he's too thin to be there full time and stay healthy.

Lou isn't a point guard and our spacing would be horrendous.

I'd give up Clarkson for Okafor, but no way in hell for someone as limited as Noel.

Nor as low character of a guy as "arguably" Noel has shown to be. This guy is in the NBA getting paid 1st round high pick dollars and had no problem allowing a very nice house he was leasing last year and its expensive attributes AND equipment to be trashed by him and his crew/friends, while also leaving evidence of illicit, test-fail-worthy-substances-in-the-NBA ....all over it to be found. So much so that the owner has to sue his sorry a** while at the same time Noel wants his security deposit back and coincidentally a threatening RIP tombstone for the owner was left near the entry way. It's documented with photos and seems to me to be facts. This is not a high quality character I want anywhere near our young guys.

Bentil is slotted to go #45 on DraftExpress and #28 on NBAdraft.net.

DeAndre Bembry was a guy I was hoping would continue to stay low although he's improved his draft stock this summer. He's kind of a Nick Young-ish type of guy. Deceptively athletic and can score the ball. He's got his head on slightly better than Nick and with a good system I think he can be a solid contributor, something like Anthony Brown was supposed to.

I like Bentil. I think he's got a pretty clean looking jumper. He plays with a lot of heart. He has a little Draymond to his offense. Enough of a jumper that you have to respect it which opens some driving lanes although he's not exactly a strong ball handler. I think he slots as a SF in the NBA probably because of his height.

lots of undersized pfs selected early in the second round have gone on to solid careers. they drop because they're an inch too short or something. at that spot, you want a guy who can be a backup, imo.

He might be able to play power forward, but if that's the case we don't need him. I'd prefer to try to make him a small forward. We've got a solid future at the power forward position already which is why I'd be alright taking a chance on a project big in the 2nd Round.

I've also heard New York is trying to get into the draft. I might offer the 2nd Round pick for Jose Calderon and see if they bite. Jose would make a great addition to this offense, he's expiring which protects 2017's cap space, and he would be more helpful I think next season than whatever we can find in the 2nd round.

NY should cough up some cash too since Calderon is not worth a 2nd round pick in today's NBA.

Well I don't know. I know the Knicks suck, but he started 72 games for them last year. Here were his numbers last season:

    7.6 points
    3.2 rebounds
    4.2 assists (1.2 turnovers)
    0.9 steals
    28.1 minutes
    45.9 FG%
    41.4 3PT% (2.8 attempts)
    87.5 FT%

He had a 22.4 assist percentage with only a 12.6 usage percentage which is pretty impressive. He finished with a 57.1 true shooting percentage and 4.0 win shares which was impressive given a crappy team. I think he's worth a 2nd rounder, especially if we can convince him to be our coordinator off the bench.

    Russell/Calderon
    Clarkson/Williams

That's a solid guard rotation with two good veterans who can step in and give good minutes when the youngsters are off their game.

Dude. Clarkson is a good player, but we are all overrating him. Noel is a heck of a young player who has a skill set we desperately need with Randle's limitations in protecting the paint. Yes, Noel has limitations, but as bad as Noel is on the offensive end, Clarkson is that bad defensively. I honestly think Philly would hang up the phone if we offered Clarkson for Noel.

And you're the one pushing for DeRozan, yet with the lineup I proposed he is the reason spacing would be so bad. Him and Randle together is what causes bad spacing, unless you think there are some stretch 5s floating around out there instead of Noel. And I merely put Lou there as a placeholder. We obviously need another guard.

How are we overrating Clarkson? Nobody said he was an All Star, but he's already proven to be a very solid NBA player. What has Noel done? Yeah Clarkson struggles on D, but he at least has the chance to get better. Noel is what he is at this point and he isn't that good. There's a reason the Sixers wanna trade him. Clarkson at worst is a Jason Terry type player off the bench and he has the potential to become an All Star in this league. As for DeRozan again you're wrong Noel can't shoot at all. At least DeRozan is a good mid range shooter and from three he's not bad he just doesn't take a lot in part because of how their offense is structured. Back to Noel the Lakers would never offer that trade anyway. Clarkson is a better player what is there to discuss? Noel is not a heck of a young player. You don't put heck of a young player's on the market that easily.

Damn. If Nash was still around, he would not only help Russell and Clarkson but he could play soccer with Ben too ;)
