I loved his reply about being able to coach rookies...

    Look at Chris Paul!!!!!

Dummy, he didn't need coaching or development. He was going to be a hall of famer. Giving him the keys does not equal "coaching" or "developing" young players you imbecile.

We're so sorry you were blindsided!!! NOT!!!

I think the nice thing about the Durant situation is that we will have the cap space to give us time to sign/build our team for him to give us a hard look.

Whether we sign Derozan/Whiteside, or trade for a Butler/George, at least we have the space to say...who do you want to play with, and we could make it happen.

Also Mitch is thinking/accepted that we lost the pick already. This does not bode well lol. I'll be ecstatic if we keep it. but it's virtually 50-50...

So I was thinking, Byron being fired before our position in the draft is decided means that we never intended to tank either this or next year.

I think it was a bit more like, "Yes we want to win but we understand bringing the youth up will lead to some hard knocks. Let's just not be pathetic again if we can alright there Scotty?"

    So much for that.

A "moron" could have done better than Boron in balancing those two needs. Spoken confidently from my "Monday morning quarterback" seat. At the very least the moron would have tried to communicate with the young guys on the roster. I still remember that period when DAR seemed to finally be getting beaten down with his natural confidence and mind frame of "figuring it out". He'd get yanked, he'd want to fix whatever it was, but didn't know what the hell it was. Julius Randle says "hello" as well with the timing of his 2nd string demotion and cut in minutes.

Does anyone besides me get the paper L.A. Times? I freaking HATE the editor that picks the letters they print every Saturday. They always were predominantly bashing Kobe and now it's like 8 letters today not one of them having anything good to say. Bash bash bash. Maybe he's a Clippers fan, or maybe there are just that many stupid people out there that write in bashing us constantly and they have to go with the %. One letter got printed that even the top two guys in the draft this year had major flaws and whichever we got we would be better off trading.

More stupid, biased Lakers mocking enabled by the Letters editor sports section of L.A. Times. See 3 posts above. Luke's hire was allowed to be blasted by brain dead "fans" when it happened, and now this below, yesterday.

"In a critical Western Conference playoff game Tuesday night, the Warriors were pushed to the brink of elimination by Oklahoma City in a devastating 118-94 loss in which the Warriors were plagued by poor shot selection, porous perimeter defense, atrocious rebounding, nonexistent transition defense, excessive turnovers, and chronically sub-par shooting.

In other words, if this game is any indication, Coach Luke Walton looks like the perfect fit for the current Lakers team.
    "

    Hey Times editor ....

Hey, you're reposting the letter here and giving them credit. If the letter was, "I really like the Luke hire. It is exactly what this team needs. Life is good." I doubt you repost it and the LA Times would continue to slip further and further out of my consciousness where it barely exists as it is. ;)
