"They loved Okafor last year" --- Not true.

We loved Okafor...I'm not pining for someone in this draft, I learned my lesson. If we don't draft an available Ingram, my theory that Mitch hates Dukies to the point of being unprofessional, will be proven.

If we loved him why'd we draft D'Angelo?

Either way trading the #2 for him would be nuts. You trade that pick for a star. Okafor is not.

Okafor is still young and can definitely improve on the defensive end, but I'm not sure I'd trade that pick for anyone in last year's draft outside of Towns.

I like Jah and would like for my local Hawks to get him (one of the rumors out there) once they give up their hopes for flipping him for a top 6 pick this year.

I believe the FO liked him, just not as much as the fans did and not as much as they liked three other guys. Unfortunately he doesn't fit with the makeup or direction of the team right now. Not with Luke and not with Randle. We need a Whiteside or Biyombo next to Randle to cover his liabilities on D.

Okafor is as bad as people thought on defense and there are a lot of stats showing that the 76ers were actually better without him on the floor. I'd take Simmons or Ingram over him by a really wide margin.

What about Clarkson for Okafor? It makes sense for Philly.

Okafor is a far better player than you guys are giving him credit for.

I'd offer Clarkson and no pick protection for next year's draft and maybe involve a 3rd team by trading Lou will and Nick young if Philly needs more picks since they love assets for jahlil okafor!

Jordan isn't really ours to offer to a bad team. He gets to say whether or not he wants to stay in Los Angeles. we need his approval before sending him out (because it's a sign and trade). I sincerely doubt he wants any part of Philadelphia.

Not only that, but a trade centered around Clarkson for Okafor is laughable for Philly.

Well If they are seriously considering Okafor for Boston's 3rd pick, Clarkson is probably better than any of the available guards. He can shoot, drive and playmake from Day 1.

Just bc jc was a second rounder doesn't mean his value is a second rounder. A lot of teams consider jc a star in the making.

No it's really not because Clarkson is a better player than Okafor right now.

JC is good....but a star? I love JC but he's not that level.

To be a star you need to be elite at one or two things. Jordan is great at penetrating and finishing at the rim but he's not elite. He's not Kyrie or Steph in that regard. Then you consider his porous defense and average jump shooting and you really just have a good player, not a great player, definitely not a star.

Can he get there? Definitely - luckily for him all his weaknesses are things he can improve with time.

In fairness he did say "star in the making." There are plenty of people that consider JC the best prospect among our kids.
