If Lebron became a Laker, I'm probably done with the NBA until he retires.

I don't hate Lebron so I wouldn't mind him being a Laker. The annoying thing is the media hype.

Also think of this. Imagine how angry Dan Gilbert would be. You'd see another comic sans letter.

    Karl Malone
    Ron Artest
    Matt Barnes

A few players I wasn't too fond of when they donned opposing jerseys. But once they played their a**es off for the purple and gold, I came around on giving them love.

If LeBron can get us #17 and catch the C Bags, sign me up and I'll add him to that list too.

Nah, screw Lebron. Even if it means we won't see #17 for at least a decade.

I think this hypothetical might be a decent compromise. We get Lebron on a 3 year deal with a team option on the last year. Over the next 2 years, he makes us relevant again, helps the young guys develop, and helps recruit several ring chasers and other stars to come here on longer term deals. In the process we go on a few deep playoff runs to get solid experience for the youngins but we come up a little short. The media blasts him for being unable to win in LA with a decent supporting cast so he folds under the pressure, opts out and leaves. Meanwhile, over these 2 years, Kobe has been secretly doing rehab and experimental therapy. He comes back on a one year deal and is back to prime conditions. He leads us to the Finals where we sweep Lebron's team for LAL's #17 and Kobe's #6. Kobe retires and transforms into a basketball god. Lebron walks away from the game in shame and nobody ever brings up his name in GOAT conversations again.

    Deal? :D

I hate LeBron. But I'd take him faster than you can believe.

We could pull a Cleveland type transformation overnight with our cap space, young talent, and #2 pick.

    Just think about it:
    PG- Russell
    SG- Derozen (max deal)
    SF- LBJ (max deal)
    PF- Randle
    C- Noah (MLE)

    Bench:
    Clarkson
    Williams
    Simmons or Ingram
    Nance
    Black

That's downright illegal. It's fun to dream though lol.

It really was... Not just the fact he did it, but the Kang for so long was untouchable. The shine is coming off that crown...

I was big time pro-Biyombo until this series because he is playing his way into a max deal, but after that block...sign him. He is under 25 like the rest of our core, and he is EXACTLY what this team needs. A rebounding, defensive monster that doesn't need the ball....He also keeps us from signing Whiteside which might be enough incentive for me to max him out.

Then sign Courtney Lee and take a flier on Lance Stephenson if he's dirt cheap. Maybe Jordan Hill as a backup big?

    Biyombo/Black/Hill
    Randle/Nance/Hill
    Ingram/Stephenson
    Lee/Clarkson
    Russell/Lou

Start Courtney Lee so Clarkson can provide us some more scoring with the second unit. Probably can get those 4 guys signed starting for 40 million a season. Allows us to go into the 2017 offseason with some depth and room for two max slots. If we can't sign Stephenson, just bring back Swaggy. I don't think it's a forgone conclusion he's gone. His contract is ridiculously cheap with the new CBA and I think Luke can use him. D'Antoni got quite a bit out of him in an open, fast paced offense.

I really wanted us to get Biyombo last year, probably would've saved us a lot of money if we over paid a bit last year for his standards last year. Since that is past I once again really would like us to get him.

Yeah. I wasn't really hot or cold for him until well after the season started. But look at it this way. Biyombo would have been good enough to lose us our pick. So if we have to pay more for him but get Ingram as a result, I think it's worth it. Not to mention Biyombo may have been good enough to get us enough wins to save Byron's job. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can start picking up the pieces.

Didn't even think of it like that, you are completely right. This is definitely the better way of going about it out of the two.
