If Lebron indicated that he wanted to come here, I would be very upset if Mitch and Jim turned him away just because fans dislike him and he doesn't fit into the Laker image. We've been saying how we need to acquire talent first and worry about fit later. He's arguably the most talented player in the league and has carried his team to the finals 6 years in a row (assuming they take care of Toronto). Dude put up a fight against the Warriors team that we're trying to model ourselves after, with Matthew Delevadova as the second best player on his team.

I'd put aside my personal dislike of the guy if it meant the Lakers could become instant title contenders again.

If the only way Lebron were to come here would be settling unfinished business and finally getting Clev a title, I'd rather he not come. That's how badly I do not want that flopping POS to win.

If LeBron wanted to come here, Mitch and Jim would bend over backwards to make it happen regardless of any sort of weird backlash that might come with it. I hate LeBron, but I love the Lakers. He'd help us compete right away.

I honestly don't even dislike LeBron. Yes he's a prima Donna and I hate that he flops, but a lot of players are like that nowadays. It's a different generation. There are no more Kobe Bryant's or Michael Jordan's. If we got LeBron were good again. The guy instantly makes a monstrous impact. We saw in Cleveland when he was drafted, when he returned, when he went to Miami. He's one of the all time greats. Turning him down would be foolish.

I take it back. I sign him just so I can trade him at the deadline to whatever the worst current NBA hell is for future assets.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I've never disliked the guy. I would take Lebron in a heartbeat.

It does. This is about winning. Period. Nothing else matters.

With LeBron were immediately legit again. It's actually a very similar situation to Cleveland. Very young and talented, but inexperienced group of core players. Theirs were more established, but ours have a higher ceiling. Unless he told us to trade all of them away then I'd tell him to piss off, but if he wanted to make that move and bring this team back to glory it's a no brainer.

You are not. I don't dislike him either. Does he irate me at times? Sure, but he's one of the ten greatest players to ever step on a basketball court and he's still playing at a supremely high level.

I'll put it this way if Kobe wasn't a Laker I would've hated his guts.

But I'll still take an all time great on my team any day of the week.

I'm sure I'd get over it once we started winning, but it would be like bathing in C bag stank.

I highly doubt it that James comes to the Lakers but...mercenaries will be mercenaries. If it bolts the franchise into contention then so be it. Wins will come, instant credibility...happy for the Lakers but I'll deal with it and doesn't mean I will embrace him on a fan level personally. James is on record stating that he will not uproot again elsewhere...too much for him mentally and physically so he says.

The only thing that bothers me about Lebron is how his hairline seemingly regresses and progresses on a daily basis. Other than that he's always shown the utmost respect to Kobe, and he's never prevented us from winning a ring, so there's very little reason to dislike him.

His face would make great emoticons though.

F*** LeB****. My fandom would never face a greater challenge than if he joined this team, because you'd be asking me to root for the player I dislike more than anyone in the league aside from maybe Chris Paul. I'm not selling my soul for title contention. I'd rather be in a decade long rebuild than root for that chump.

"LeFlop prima donna to the storied Lakers franchise after its long line of basketball immortals in the HOF, not "basketball / brand / flopper / chaser" ..... immediately following Kobe Bryant? **** that!! Seriously. Flame suit on for any that feel a ring trumps all else."

LOL. Who elected you grand pooh bah of personal wants and desires as a Lakers fan? **** that with the red above. Back away from thinking every serious Lakers fan shares your personal way of thinking. We aren't all the same. Some of us clearly would have a problem with this prima donna / flopper / chaser. Different strokes. Stick to speaking for yourself. We agree on many things but this ain't one of em.

I'd love if LeBron came here and won a championship perhaps Finals MVP. Imagine the tears from Dan Gilbert? Talk about karma.
