This version of Kobe isn't going to lead us to a title anytime soon even with decent talent.

Keep the picks unless we get a franchise player who's on a long deal.

Keep the picks, and go for the home run in 2016 when Kobe takes a one year-one million dollar deal so spend every dollar possible on the best possible talent ;)

This version of Kobe is leading the league in scoring at age 36... Y'all are taking Kobe for granted. We already have our franchise player. We have our franchise player of the future, too (Randle). We need a solid supporting cast, particularly upgrades at SF and C. Players that can contribute immediately.

This team is in no way shape or form in "win now". Even if they got 2 studs they still won't have enough. Don't let the Lakers fool you, this is a full rebuild situation.

You both have your own personal opinions but for you to say even IF we got 2 proven studs it wont be enough as if its a farfetched and crazy idea? Is it guaranteed it will be enough for a championship? No. With bargain free agents which always come when theres a big 3 in town, theres definitely a chance and for you to shoot that down so easy is unfair. A rebuild is as far as im aware, putting yourself in the best situation to strike on moves to have you contending again, well see what the future unfolds and who comes into town.

Im not agreeing with @FreeThePeople necessarily because im on the boat of keeping all picks and going for the home run in 2016 with the youth playing solid roles in a championship chase.

We're all taking kobe for granted because despite leading the league in scoring, he's doing so inefficiently while playing horrible defense. More importantly, kobe is 36 years old and won't be our franchise player for long. Putting your eggs in such a basket is foolish because father time is undefeated in the end.

Need a good mix on both. Back on topic(s) though. Stephen A. Smith said Okafor would we one of top the Centers in the league RIGHT NOW from what he saw. Heard Towns didnt look too shabby either, anybody have list of top 5 PGs out there?

I was impressed by Towns' defense last night. Nice shot blocker and rebounder. Still prefer Okafor, but he would be nice if we ended up with the third pick.

Yeah, im on board with getting Okafor/Towns for the simple fact of praying they pan out so we dont have to spend high volume money on a big man. The other good thing about big men as opposed to say a PG, atleast they should be able to play D on day one while learning how to utilize their skill set on offense.

I cant wait until trade deadline to see if were some how able to land more picks. New mock has us taking Okafor after Philly taking Mudiay since they have Noel/Embiid. Would yall trade Randle+ for Embiid?

Okafor is definitely the prospect we should be looking at if we got the first pick. I like towns better as an overall player but his body scares me for potential injuries down the line.

Randle for Embiid is interesting. Embiid has game, but I am even more concerned about all his injuries than I am with Randle.

It's the size and post work. He's a legit 7 feet tall, big frame, and already has a good post game. He's looking like a throwback Center. The only problem is Okafor's mobility. In today's NBA you've got to be able to cover ground and I'm not sure if/when he'll be able to be mobile at the NBA level.

We talking about Towns or Embiid?

Also, if Embiid can give us 8 years atleast, give or take than I would trade Randle+Houstons 2nd,Sacre for him.
Towns who seems a big raw, actually has a better body than I thought and just BARELY turned 19. Once he gets with a real personal trainer,NBA staff and their strength and conditioning coach he will surely improve his physique.

Okafor reminds me of a Tim Duncan, probably would be best served to play next to a rim protector.

I would LOVE to land Okafor and trade Randle for Embiid(If staff believes he can play 8-10 years).
IF we select Towns than keep Randle who I think they would be a good young combo to build on as well.

Taking Mudiay, IMO trade Randle for Embiid if possible still to give us a good young PG/C combo and sign Paul Millsap/Al Jefferson at PF.

    Thoughts?

My bad. I must have misread, I thought someone said Embiid not Towns.

That said @SFGOLDRUSHER , I would probably roll the dice on a trade if we ended up with Mudiay. Mudiay and Embiid would just be too much upside to pass on. I am definitely liking what I see from Towns. The distance between him and Okafor isn't nearly as wide as what I once thought.

@OmarE - there is no reason I can think of for Philly to make that deal. Lol.
