If we get Ingram, I wouldn't be too against getting no Derozan too. Whiteside/horford too? We be cooking fellas.
Just got back from cruise. Watched lottery and yeah, I was celebrating. Only laker fan in ship it seems. It's cool. I actually prefer Ingram because I could see him as that go to scorer when you need a basket and as good as he is now, he's gonna be a stud as he improvesaid. But I also see the benefits in Simmons, someone who can grab the rebound and push. I have yet to watch more video on him but it seems he has the capability to get to the hole and scoreven the rock on a consistent basis. Not too worried about his lack of a jumper, look at Griffin when he first came out. And now...with Luke's system that he's instilling you can't have too many people that can handle the rock. Really stocked.
#AllSimmons If we're left with Ingram, i think we trade nim for an established player. . Btw. Im on the "do not trade a top2 pick" camp .
Man I hope not. Luke will figure this out, and Simmons is an amazing talent. Magic called him the most impressive kid coming out since LBJ. Plus he is a low cost controlled asset for years. Give it at least a year or two and then figure out if any of these guys need to be dealt.
I hope not. Simmons is a STUD. We'd be lucky if he fell to us. Not saying that Ingram isn't a stud too (and probably a better overall fit). But Simmons has been viewed by most as a transcendent talent. I mean, he averaged 19/12/5 as a freshman with NO ONE on the team but him. People are taking this, "But LSU didn't make the tourney!" thing waaaay too seriously. He will be the best player from this draft. He's just been at the top for so long, people are looking for chinks in the armor to bring him down. The same thing happened with LBJ. Darko or LBJ? Melo or LBJ? LBJ went first and he's been the best player of that class by a SIGNIFICANT margin. that being said, that's the beauty of this #2 pick. We get a transcendent talent either way. One is the best player (Simmons) and if we don't get him, we get the better fit. Unless one of them blows out a knee between now and the draft, we can't really lose here.
Yeah I can't forget what Kobe said when asked about our pick.... "we need a franchise player, but those aren't easy to find." Simmons could be the next Lebron and Ingram could be next Durant. Both are superstars and 1st ballot HOFers, but honestly, only Lebron is transcendent. If we're looking for the next Kobe, Simmons is the one that has that potential imo.
I figure Simmons can replace Kobe by way of being an endorsement magnet. He's clean cut and personable. Ingram on the other hand seem to have a penchant for self mutilation which obviously appeals to prison inmates and the crack whore market. That being said I'm Team Brandon all the way.
Yea I'm curious as well. I've seen the tattoo thing come up multiple times now. I'm either not in the loop on the joke or we've gone a bit too far in nitpicking prospects.
Ive got tattoos, my family members and friends have tattoos. It's art and a way to express yourself, not a judge of character as is the case with most other outward features. Did someone with tattoos personally wrong you or something? Not understanding the conintued comments and hate on this.
I work with young children every day and I have full sleeves and several tattoos on my torso. Of course I wear long sleeved shirts year-round.
It's 2016. Tattoos are nothing to freak out about. Unless it's a lady with tattoos and short hair walking in the men's bathroom.
