I'm not sure he'll ever put a significant amount of mass on. His frame isn't exactly built for mass given his long arms and legs. Think more along the lines of Kevin Garnett, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry: slim but still strong. That calorie total helps though. He might honestly still be growing too.

Those were the two early comparisons coming into this draft. I think it's more like Lamar Odom or Grant Hill maybe somewhere around there, but those two kids are brimming with talent. It'd take a heck of a lot for me to move on from them.

The idea of Ingram still growing blows my mind! He's 6'10 with a 7'3 wingspan!!! That's ridiculous

And yet he's just 18 years old right now, won't turn 19 until September. He could end up maybe looking like a slimmer Giannis by the time he's 100% done growing. We'll see what happens.

I remember Durant being 6'9 coming out of college now he's 6'11, also Ingram has bigger hands and wingspan than Durant

If Ingram doesn't develop into a KD type player, a second coming of a Greek Freak type player isn't too shabby at all.

Our off season just keeps getting better and better. I feel like this snowball is not going to slow down soon. We're going to make a big splash on free agency.

And even if we don't we have possibly the best young core in basketball right now.

In a span of a month we went from shaky at best future to an awfully bright one now.

To be honest, if we're trying to show off the appeal of Los Angeles women, the Laker girls aren't exactly the best representation ...

Meh. Screw Magic. He's just hopping on the bandwagon now. Kobe could be HUGE though if they set up some hands on player development possibilities with him. They HAVE to do that. Whenever he needs a work out and is in town and in the effing mood. Pay him top dollar. You come to the Lakers and no matter where you are with your game, it can be made better by the best all around skilled player in the history of the league. Big men, smaller men. Back to the basket, footwork, how to approach the game if you want to dominate and win.

cmon dude that's unnecessary. Magic is argurably the greatest Laker ever. Yes he was annoying with the Byron stuff, but at least he has embraced Luke along with working with the future of our franchise. Magic wants the Lakers to be successful as much as anyone.

By the way, young Simmons in the open court with the bullet bounce passes with either hand while at high speed on the breakaways kinda reminds me a little of a bigger (holy crap Batman) Magic Johnson. :p

Lamar Odom is a great comparison. Just thought of that today. I was on the Ingram bandwagon, I'll be honest; I'm really warming up to the idea of Simmons.

Everyone would fall in love with Simmons pretty quickly. I have no doubt Luke can make a player out of him.

What's GT think? Would be happy with either even if Ingram is the better fit?

I think it's natural after we get the pick to want to keep it. Then, if you select the player, and put a name with him, get use to him, we (fans) get attached to that player. It's all good; we have a great GM making these decisions I'm cool with whatever he decides to do...
