Good list... #4 shouldn't be too difficult.

Agreed. I was preparing for losing the pick or for the #3 tops.

    Now?

I'm not willing to trade that pick for anything short of a stud in his prime. That's it. If we can't get Paul George for the pick, no thank you. I think the Lakers' bargaining position has taken a huge step forward. Not only do we have three young stud players, but we've got another one on the way along with one or two solid pieces as well. Add that to our market, our new coach, new opportunities... The Lakers are suddenly a pretty hot commodity.

We're in a great spot all of a sudden.

We can just nod to our young guys and go full rebuild.
We can put guys like Noah and Deng around them.
We can trade the pick for a star now and still build around the young guys we have now in order to convince a star to land here (Durant...)

Such a great place to be.

As soon as I say that Lebronze rejects him in the lane for a fastbreak.

Well, we don't know who might be available just yet; if the right deal comes along, I am open to listening and moving it dependent on what we are getting back.

Remember, the last two picks we have had (Randle, Russell) have been in rumored trades; reportedly, we offered number 7 for Klay and number 2 for Cousins. I am open to anything that helps us be more competitive and start winning games.

Would you guys trade Clarkson and Nance for Nerlens Noel? Philly needs backcourt help desperately and they have 3 centers. They also need a pf. Noel can be our Whiteside without cutting that far into our cap.

Noel/Randle/Ingram/Russell is a heck of a start to a dynasty. Their games compliment each other well enough too.

I found it odd during the Draft Lottery when Brett Brown kept talking about Joel Embiid.

Not a word about Okafor or Noel. Is Embiid being shopped by Philly?

Completely agree. If it isn't George, Butler or someone on that level then I say we keep the pick.

I'm content with grabbing Ingram or Simmons, some solid vets, and letting them grow under Luke.

Yeah. I'm not completely against a trade. There are names I give up the pick for.

I'm not a huge college fan, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen of their games, I'm not sure Simmons skill set complements this team. I think we have a lot of what he brings to the table. I want Ingram, and if we can't get him, I might entertain some trade scenarios.

If we have Ingram at 2, we CANNOT trade him for Cousins. Something about trading an apparently really high character guy for a knucklehead that doesn't sit right with me.

Other than the elites like Steph, Durant, Westbrook, AD, etc., I don't trade the pick for anyone other than PG13. With Randle, Russell and Ingram/Simmons, our chances of one of those guys becoming a superstar is pretty good.

Simmons is the best player. Ingram is the best fit. After Russell's incident, I don't want anyone he knows on this team. Vets and character guys to keep him progressing in the right direction. Let Simmons go to Philly and he and Jah will pout and get into incidents until they can get a fresh start away from that basketball hell.

I draft Ingram, go all in on Horford and a vet SF to split minutes with Ingram and teach him the ropes. Deng is the dream fit there.

If Horford passes, most likely, you try for Noah and someone cheaper for when he gets hurt. If Deng says no, see if Joe Johnson still loves being overpaid and offer him an obscene 2 year deal.

Simmons' talent level compliments any team. He's not a great shooter, but he's an elite athlete, a strong rebounder, a good ball handler, and is capable of getting to the rim. On top of that he might be a better passer than D'Angelo. Seriously he's that good. We'd be lucky to get him.

Ingram is the better shooter (although not necessarily proven from NBA range), good defender, takes less chances, and makes all the right plays. He's got terrific footwork getting to the rim with long, rangy spin moves. Even though he's rail thin he's constantly aggressive and does his best to attack defenses despite his physical slightness.

    I'm great with either kid.

Hey REAL what does Ingram have to do to gain a significant amount of weight/mass to his frame? He did say that he's eating 5000 calories a day during an interview at the lottery room

Oh. I have never been a Cousins fan. We need to improve the character of our locker room. He hurts as much as he might help.

another #2 pick, a real coach, no Kobe, and a Brinks truck full of cash...I'd say so.

Now if we can just let someone else handle the pitch meetings.

^@therealdeal For some reason...your takes make me think like its a James or Durant quandry? Not a bad choice of either one.
