I think what will piss me off more than anything is if the following happens: We drop to 4th, pick goes to Sixers Boston moves up and gets 1st pick OR Denver moves up and gets 1st pick Sixers get 1st and 4th picks Minnesota wins the lotto again The major insult to injury would be us losing the pick and then Boston winning the lotto..yep, that's literally the worst case scenario.

Worst case for me personally would be: 1. Boston 2. Denver 3. Philly 4. Philly Because my cousin is a huge Nuggets fan and he was talking a lot of smack about D'Angelo and how Mudiay is better than him....and last thing I want is Denver getting Ingram or Simmons to pair up with Mudiay and Jokic. They also have 2 more first round picks in this draft. I just don't want to see Mudiay and Denver become a great team. Another scenario could be this: 1. Boston 2. Denver 3. Minnesota 4. Philly 5. Philly That's equally bad....man I Just want Boston to slip to 5th or 6th....that would be amazing.
Well in my scenario the Wolves build a dynasty around Wiggins, Towns, and Ingram/Simmons that we have a hard time matching up with for the next 10-15 years. Boston gets the #1 pick. Gross. And Philly gets rewarded with two Top 5 picks despite being the most despicable team in professional sports for the last 3-5 years or so. If that happens tomorrow I'll have a hard time being okay with the NBA. Not just because we get screwed, but because there'd be no justice there. Just bad news again for the Lakers.
Shoot. Great point on Minnesota. I didn't think about that. But they'll have kind of a logjam at the SF spot no? I guess they could play Lavine at PG, Wiggins at SG, Ingram at SF? Or they go KAT, Ingram, Wiggins, Lavine, Rubio? They'll have options to go big or small....maybe they go with Simmons then at the 4 (but not a lot of shooting then around KAT and Wiggins....) In conclusion, we just need to keep the god damn pick!
You go Rubio/Lavine/Wiggins/Simmons/Towns or Rubio/Lavine/Ingram/Wiggins/Towns. Wiggins is undersized, but does it really matter? Ingram and Wiggins switch off and use their length and athleticism around the perimeter... Yikes.
I know what everyone sees in Simmons. He's clearly got a ton of natural talent, but I like Ingram. I think Ingram might be the more natural all-around player.

Brooklyn really messed up here. Boston who made it to the playoffs, have a chance at a top pick this year.
Of course he does. So did Okafor, so did Embid, so did a majority of players that are lottery picks. I would love to get Simmons. Even if he doesn't have that dog in him we have two guys who do.
Yeah worst case for me would be the Wolves getting the Top 2. KAT and Wiggins is already a dynamic duo. Add Simmons/Ingram with Thibs at the helm and they'd be the next GSW. Philly and Boston getting the #1 would suck too but they're in the East and Philly will screw up somehow anyway.
They honestly might already be. We'll see in a few years, but they've got a hell of a start over there.
I mean we've known that for a while though haven't we? Most of the young players want to be here. When you're young you can imagine being that guy who can rebuild the brand and who can capitalize on all that media/marketing opportunity. When you're a vet it's a much harder proposition. Guys as young as 27-28 already hear their clock ticking.
If we keep our pick and don't trade it I want Ingram. I was high on Simmons before but I think Ingram makes an impact quicker. Simmons will need development. There's no guarantee he'll be a special player. Plus Ingram would be so great in our new offense and he can play both on and off the ball, while Simmons basically needs the ball to be effective.
