Couldnt agree more&the process is what makes it worthwhile, brings excitement, not to mention becomes a hell of a fun ride while making you feel a part of the team by discussing&scheming how to get back to the top.I started following Lakers when Van Exel,Jones,Fox,Horry,Shaq were the starters, which led to the 3peat, to the Shaq breakup(arrival of Odom,Grant,Kwame,Smush etc.),to another couple rings. Kobe has been there done that, from what we know about him he will strive to get every last drop of the rest of the team&will be relentless doing so to the point we all know the weak minded or lazy people will not like..but that is the same mentality I have which makes me proud that I got to witness one of the GOATs. IMPO, I believe football is more difficult to make a bounce back because you need schemes,SEVERAL dimensions to the game(O,D,ST),&ofcourse ALL the penciled in starters in their positions. If Scott can lead this men,be able to make adjustments, players buy in&give it their all on a consistent basis,w/some developement&eventually a premiere star we will put ourselves in the position to have a legitimate shot. As of this day, I simply want to see what you mentioned above&the team to continue to grow, gel to see how far we can truly get. Already stoked&in my Bart Scott voice, CANT WAIT.
I embrace change. We all must. Been lurking for a while, though. Was on CL since early 2008 - a daily part of my life, even in the off-seasons. But the site limitations and crashes were frustrating. Love all the tech, efficiencies, and forward-thinking updates here. Family is family. Glad to see most of the "family" all here, and growing. To new and better beginnings, here and with our team!
I have been a laker fan since 98. I posted at clublakers since 2005. I haven't posted there recently, but still lurked all the time. I seen most of the users migrating to this site, so I have to. We have had a bad start to the season, but we are the Lakers! Best franchise in NBA history. We will be alright. I am looking forward to posting here.
I too have been a long time member over at CL. Decided to make the move over here tonight and i'm excited about the new changes.
Long time lurker at CL...but decided to make the move over here cause I can't seem to find the Lakers anywhere. Its been 3 years and still no sign of them. Well, hope I find 'em here. Either way, this forum is ballin'...which seems like the only way the Lakers will be too...at least for this season.
Welcome, I miss reading your insightful posts on Clublakers. Glad you finally came over and started posting.
I've been on CL since 2004 or 2005; mainly lurking the last few years but this new site has impressed me so much that I'm excited to start posting again. I was very reluctant to even look at this website at first but I am so glad I did, you guys have done an awesome job with it and I'm very excited that I signed up. Thank you guys for being my source of Lakers news.
Not to knock the site or anything, anyway yall can throw a mini tweet time line on the home page so we can see up to the wire news on the team from credible sources/writers. Some more updated MAIN news feed would be great too!
What do you mean? Do you mean the newest story posted in an article like LA Times? There's not really a way to do it other than manually when a staff member finds an article they think is worthy of posting as main news. Anything else and we run into a few problems legally, but most news sites seem to be ok with forums reposing their articles here and there.
No like for example, Quincey Miller tryout. Injury update articles on players, articles posted of our team in general? http://lakernation.com/ , www.49erswebzone.com ,something along these homepages for example where theres lots of links to things associated with our team, a link to the gameday matchup etc?
I don't see a big difference between those pages you gave and ours. We have links for all the most recent posts in threads on that page, and the slider was updated Wednesday.
Would it be too much to update slider every day? For example it wouldve been nice to see an article with a picture for last nights win when first entering the site? Id be more then happy to contribute to the homepage by finding some things out there, news, updates, etc. if you like me to? Also what about a mini tweet box of people associated or have good knowledge of the Lakers so we can see up to minute updates on things? Not trying to sound un-happy, but I just feel it could be a little better because from what its been and seeing a cheesy Majok picture for over a week has me feeling like im better off book marking the actual forum page instead with no disrespect haha.
