Seen this yesterday; also, from the tweet I read, it stated that Jordan Clarkson will be activated for the GS game...

Xavier? I thought the rule was that only players in their first two seasons could be sent to the D-League. Is this a voluntary thing for Xavier?

Not sure what to make of this news. Was kinda hoping Xavier would bump Wes at some point. But if he needs the time in D-league then I guess we gotta do what we gotta do.

the rule changed a couple years ago and any player past 2 seasons can go to the d-league as long as the player and player's union agree to it

I seen a little of the game. Clarkson had 28 point on 8-19, 5 rebounds 4 assists, 4 TO's, Xavier had 32 points on 11-16 I believe; don't know the rest of his statline.

Thats a blow for Henry. He shouldn't be fighting for a spot.

Those moves don't have any impact on the roster; I'm sure it's to get them both some PT. Henry needs to knock the rust off, and Clarkson has been mothballed for most of the season.

Henry looked good in those clips - was able to get to the paint regularly (same damn shot every time though; won't get that in the NBA) and had his jumper working. Good workout for him.

Clarkson's shot looks good, and he's really fearless. Bernard James was covering him - he was an excellent defender at FSU.

If anyone was wondering where they can watch our D-League games.....

    https://www.youtube.com/user/nbadleague

I watched the game last night.....

Henry - He scored a lot of points and definitely isn't D-League material, but man he doesn't look himself. He's taken a few steps back in the athleticism department. I hope it's just rust, but I just can't see him making a significant contribution to the Lakers without his quickness and strength coming back.

Clarksonn - He got to the rim anytime he wanted and he either made the layup or got fouled. He's definitely better than the D-League and should be used a 3 and D player on the Lakers, as both seem to be two areas that he can help us.

Defenders defense - Oh my is it worse than the Lakers. So many wide open 3's and dunks, it was awful.

@Doc Brown , how did Manny look?

Henry clearly looked leaner last year. I take it he hasn't had the opportunity to get back into his ideal playing shape.

Manny had a real bad shooting night, but he was still active defensively. He's shot 47% the last two seasons in the D-League and 65% in his first game this season, so I'm guessing just an off night. He still looks like a guy that would make a nice call up and someone we could get more out of now compared to Henry.

I don't know if everyone was just deferring to Clarkson/X last night or that was the call from the coach or Mitch, but X/Clarkson dominated almost every possession they were out there. No real ball movement. In other words, they are running our offense.

What's "another Farmar"? I didn't mind Farmar in the least, and I don't mind Clarkson at all. In fact, I rooted for Farmar, and I'm happy to root for Clarkson.

    I'm with Doc.

Henry is better than the D-League talent, but he looks really slow out there. I thought he looked slow in the NBA, but he even looked slow against the D-League guys. To be fair, I'm sure he's really out of shape. Still though, he looked like a shell. Hopefully working in the D-League will get his conditioning back and that explosion might come back a little bit.

The more I see of Clarkson, the more I like. The kid is ready to play right now. I'd rather see him out there then Price or Wesley Johnson right now.
