Randle Gives Update on Injury

Since fracturing the tibia in his right leg on opening night, Julius Randle has gone through successful surgery and begun his recovery process. During halftime of the Lakers' matchup with Phoenix Tuesday, Randle updated the media on his injury.

Q: On how difficult this...

I'm always intrigued by the numbers - in particular by Kobe's numbers.

Since Turning 30:
Most Points
Kobe is 26th with 10,219 points. Malone scored 19,941 after 30.

Most Assists
Kobe is 51st with 1937 assists. Stockton dished 8441 after 30.

Most Rebounds
Kobe is 148th with 2037 rebounds. Wilt grabbed 10,433 after 30.

In age 36 season
Kobe has 138 points, tied for 118th all time. Malone is the leader with 2095 points!
Kobe has 14 assists, tied for 147th all time. Nash is the leader with 855!
Kobe has 26 rebounds, which is 151st. Wilt is the leader with 1526!

Look at what people were able to do at age 36: average 25 points, hand out double digit assists, grab 20 boards a game. Crazy, and as long as Kobe stays healthy, we'll see him fly up these charts. It will be small consolation for some of us.

For me it's Kwahi Lenard and Marc Gasol. Not gonna happen but still.

With Lin, Kobe, Hill, Davis, Randle and Young should be enough to contend.
