hes probably tainted meat, like dale from the comics. He probably got bitten by the Walker in the water and that's why he was crying after that piss

Definitely he's tainted meat, but what does that mean? Does ingestion turn you into a walker?

They haven't ever clarified that have they? But I would imagine if you get infected by them biting you, you probably would also by biting them. :wondering:

Episode 2 started off real slow, but then again we were kind of spoiled by the pace of the 1st episode. But out of everything that the show has shown, the end scene of episode 2 was really gross to me.

@TIME yeah I'm with you. That seems the most logical thing. That raises another question though:
If he was bitten on the leg... wouldn't they have seen the bite when they cut his leg off and started cooking him?

maybe he was bitten somewhere unseen (butt, back), or maybe it was on the other leg.

    Good point.

I figured they'd use the leg he was bitten on because maybe they could save him if they cut the leg off before the infection spread. Thus saving good old Bob and letting his character continue.

hadn't thought of that angle, but it had been a while since they were in the water, so I think it had to have been too late

So no matter what, they're going to get infected then. Sweet.

you would figure though, if he was bitten, he would've turned by then (night), or at least start showing signs of being sick. or maybe since bob got pulled under water in that standing water where the walkers had been stewing in, he got sick there.

again, everyone is infected anyway because it is airborne (the CDC arc). one has to die before they turn. we know a bite/scratch will get infected and in turn kill the person unless it get's cut off before it spreads. however, these cannibals have been eating people for what seems to be awhile now. and if people have always been infected, i think it's safe to say that even eating infected meat is fine, probably because they cooked it.

Could we make this thread similar to how it was on CL, where we could discuss up to the most recent episode without using spoiler tags.

How about for the first couple of days we use spoilers? Some people DVR the episodes and catch them a day later or so.

Keep the title spoiler free but if you come into this thread, expect there to be spoilers.

Or should we only use the spoiler tag for something in the comics that may spoil the show?

^ I like that. Spoilers in the thread, but anything that could spoil the UPCOMING stories... put a spoiler tag on 'em.

If you're not up to date with the show then it probably isn't the best idea to visit a thread that discusses it. I do agree with using spoiler tags if it's something that could spoil what's to be in the next episode.

I like that idea of having spoiler tags for the comic stuff actually. I agree, the rest of the thread should be just discussing the most recent episode. I mean I knew not to go into TWD thread on CL if I hadn't seen the most recent episode
