not a good move by kanter, imo. he may have to settle for only slighly more cash over multiple years given the market.

Only two I can remember that were able to recover a degree of real effectiveness were Nique and Kobe. Neither one was the player they were before, but Nique averaged nearly 30 after, and Kobe's 60 point retirement game was by far the most scored by anyone after an Achilles repair.

The one advantage Boogie has is that he was never a high fly player. He should still be able to shoot the ball. But his D is going to be even more questionable than before.

It hurts that he is such a big body though. Nique and Kobe (and recently Wes Matthews) are all guards.

He’s probably going to run like Bogut. I’ll pass until I see him prove effectiveness. We have better options with our money most likely.

Interesting...Kanter and Stephenson will soon join their good buddy Bron wherever he goes. Wonder if George gets on the phone with Stephenson to join him in OKC or LA?

Indy makes this move opening up cap....dump site?

    Speaking of opening up cap..

Looks like the Magic are preparing to match any good offer for Gordon.

    Regarding Lance Stephenson opting out:

why would we want him. Granted I'm a fan of his, but we got enough players and will to fill his position in the coming months.

@OmarE Could be when we're in luxury tax hell...but not for the immediate future.

But you know who is? Cavs (Gilbert), Dubs (Lacob), Thunder (Bennett currently is and will be after re-upping PG), Rox (Fertitta will be after re-upping Cp3)

The NBA extends credit? LOL. Who knew? Well I didn't. Wonder what the interest rate is?

Or does that mean from outside sources .... your books are open?

This is to help prevent teams from losing star players to the Lakers in Free Agency

    Coincidence? I think not.

Beneficial for team's like OKC who may have to pay Melo and PG (if he returns). Less taxes for them from going over the cap

I think the extended credit is different than salary cap and tax penalties, repeater tax, etc.

Probably more for applying to outside sources of credit, but the NBA guaranteeing their franchises won’t default at that level of credit.

Yeah, I believe its this as well BT. You can take out a line of credit to help pay the tax bill, so its not directly out of the owner's own check book. This will help Rox owner immensely, seeing how he just bought the team and will be looking to be adding team salary and taxes with a re-upped Cp3.
