I don't think he should play ever again. That being said, injured, out of shape and basketball activities Bosh >> anyone we have on our roster (maybe except healthy, engaged Brook).

I would be shocked if he came back to play, but he would be a very welcome presence as a development coach.

Oh and by the way one of LeBron's friends from Miami would be part of our pitch. Just saying.

Highly doubt we are looking to sign Bosh, I don’t want any part of enabling someone to die on the court. He has to remained saved from himself, maybe he’s just in practice giving some tips, Randle could use all he can give.

Give the T Rex a velociraptor for practice sessions. But yeah he has some serious health issues and shouldn't be playing, wonder if the meeting is Laker related or agent/friendly related.

Going to keep an eye on Avery Bradley if the two max plan doesn't go as planned; repped by Landmark Sports Agency, the agency that Pelinka use to run...

Man, if we end up with Bradley's of the NBA, when PG and Bron were so "close" i'll get a depression again

I honestly wouldn't. KCP is a great fit next to Lonzo, but Avery is just as good. Avery is an excellent outside shooter and a premier perimeter defender just like KCP. The difference is consistency with Avery whereas KCP can be streaky and prone to fixable mistakes (missing layups, etc). Of course KCP has had a healthier career than Avery so there's also that, but still Avery would be a great addition.

If we ended up spending 20-35 million on solid players at good price points, that's not a bad summer. It's not LeBron or Paul George, but it's not punting either and it would be valuable additions.

Completely agree. We can't keep going on missing the PO's. And yes, Bradley is a better shooter; he might even be a better defender; in the sense his 1-on1 defense, and team defense (no gambling), and ability to play within himself is an upgrade over KCP.

In short, he's a better system player. Perfect fit next to Lonzo and perfect fit for Luke.

Bradley is the better player but I don't think he's a better fit than KCP. Then again I'm not too up to date with Bradley's ball handling and playmaking skills. As LFR pointed out, KCP is an underrated playmaker and that comes in handy when Ball pushes the ball up ahead.

I don't think Avery is a worse fit. Both are capable playmakers within their offenses. I think KCP might be better in the pick and roll, but either player as a long-term partner for Lonzo would be a plus.

So here's the (icyhot) rub...Philly locked up roughly $25.3M (sans incentives) towards Emboot and their 2018/19 cap. That amount could jump to about $30M if he meets certain incentive clauses. So Philly has roughly $75M committed for next summer and that kind of eliminates them as a major shopper for the 2018 FA class...as if they were really a threat to begin with.

    1) This is insanity. He's a wonderful prospect player when he's healthy, but he's played 31 games in 3 years.
    2) It's not 100% insanity because at least there's protections for injuries, but still 98% insanity.

How many teams have a lot of cap space next year?

@alam1108 Philly had roughly $50M in cap space next summer (the most out of all teams) before the Embiid extension...but now its more like 30-40M (based on who they decide to keep with their team options: Ben Simmons - 6.4M, Jahlil Okafor - 6.3M, Saric - 2.5M, Anderson - 2.5M ....you would think they will pick options up on all if not most of those players).

Lakers now have the most practical cap space to spend next summer with $45M and can boost that to about $75M if we let Randle walk and trade away Clarkson and Deng for no incoming salary past 2018. Even if we stretch Deng (7.3M cap hit for next 5 years), LA is looking at roughly $68M in cap space if Randle and Clarkson get dumped.

Chicago then comes next with roughly $40M to spend next summer, followed by Dallas and Atlanta at roughly $30M to spend.

These 5 team are the only teams in the league that have enough cap space to sign at least one max player next summer.

Philly is nuts, that is all, insane. Embiid is always one injury away from being Oden, wow.
