Geez, this is a bit strong worded isn’t it real?... wildly inaccurate?

Lonzo is a great playmaker, good defender, has amazing instincts, is a poor scorer and a lousey shooter.

    That’s ‘wildly’ inaccurate to you?

Svtzr, Real and abeer...appreciate the good discussion and the back and forth among you guys. I agree with each side on a variety of issues so I can't really say I side with any side exclusively. But overall, everybody wants the best for the Lakers and that's all that should matter.

    Nope, those are completely accurate.

The longer post you made was not though. Sorry if it came off harsh, but many of your arguments for Ingram and against Lonzo were not good arguments. And for @abeer3 to agree with them means there's more inaccurate conclusions being drawn from the argument. I can understand your argument for Ingram over Lonzo in terms of what you value, but your argument for what makes Ingram better than Lonzo was a disservice to Lonzo.

This all boils down to, we as fans can feel that we are at an important point and want the best outcome moving forward.

I feel bad because it’s come off as if I’m some Lonzo hater. Let me assure you real, it’s not like that at all. If a trade was to happen I just have my preference on who I’d wanna keep. That doesn’t make my opinion right.

So when it comes down to an opportunity to land an mvp caliber player, I’m willing to explore that properly and willing to part with quite a few assets - moments like that don’t come around often.

Let’s say we get only PG this summer, and we have cap space for 1 max player in 2019.

Who do you go after? Kawhi or Klay Thompson? Assume either choice would agree to come here (ie Kawhi finishes his contract with the Spurs disgruntled; Warriors choose not to resign Klay because they don’t want to pay a billion dollar luxury tax)

Comments made on Lakersground with replies by Emplay (Eric Pincus for anyone who doesn't know that here by now) to the article on Bleacher Report by Eric about the Lakers having an all time worthy draft class this year.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...lass-impresses-nba-insiders-around-the-league

"This Lakers draft class will be remembered as all-time...tbd if it’s actually with the Lakers. Magic and Pelinka have made it pretty clear they won’t hesitate trading any current lakers player."

    "Don't agree"

"If you think the Lakers want to trade players like Zo, Kuzma, Ingram or Hart - you're not paying attention. They're not."

"Emplay, I'm going to succinctly ask you what I think the poster above seems to asserting: are there any untouchables on our roster?

"there's always a chance but the Lakers are far more likely to send out picks and cash and maybe Zubac than one of their core 4 young players. They're more likely to wait until 2019 to get something done if it's too costly"

"Technically, no player on any team is really untouchable. The Lakers have no intention of trading their core four players (Kuz, BI, Zo, Hart) - anyone else is TBD"

As much as I believe Magic and Pelinka don’t want to trade anyone, I think the reality is that we would give up ONE core player+ Hart+ picks and whatever bigger contract to make the money work for Kawhi. I think that player will be Kuz, Ingram, or as a long shot... Randle. The FO has too much stake in Ball being the future of the Lakers to trade him IMO.

It doesn’t matter if that’s not equal trade value. Teams know they aren’t going to get equal trade value for a Superstar. Recent history proves this fact. In fact trade history in general proves this fact

I’d be ok with Randle or Ingram being packaged with Hart and be picks. Deng has to be out too tho.

I came across harshly and I apologize for that. It's been a long week for me but that's no excuse. I shouldn't be that way just because you have a different opinion.

We're not even that far apart. Like I've been saying: if we got a guarantee that Kawhi would stick around, I'm open to trading for him. I just need that guarantee before we lose multiple cheap, strong assets.

I like this approach. Makes it clear to teams that we aren't just going to give up guys for peanuts and they will have to come with a good deal for us to move our core guys.

No reason to trade guys away when you can get what you want for free

This is my concern. I like Ingram better and given the choice I send out Ball in the hypothetical Kawhi deal. If we are truly committed to positionless basketball, Ingram/Kawhi/PG is the epitome of that. Add in Randle and Hart for the dirty work and that team is ready to roll next season.
