    This year will suck for depth, but next year we'll have the mid level exception of about 9 mil and a bit more wiggle room to get another good roll player

    If we strike out on the bigger names, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing Brogdon in. I'm sure the Bucks will bring him back, but he's almost a perfect fit. His game is so damn smooth and he's makes people pay for leaving him open.

    Also, Seth Curry would be a great get. I'd be perfectly fine with him getting 18mpg off the bench. Dude is a hell of a shooter.

    Man, there is a crap load of shooters on that list. Lakers timing couldn't have been better. Some of those guys wont get paid what they are worth and will take less money to get wide open shots next year so they can up their dollars for next seasons free agent period.

    A close friend texted me this morning from the lobby of the Thompson Hotel (friend is a music Producer on a job someplace… I believe he is in NY). Saw Jimmy Butler walking through the lobby in head to toe purple and yellow… shoes, yellow shorts, purple shirt, and yellow & purple cap. This could not be by mistake. A good sign

    He's a very good player - he's a "max" guy. If no Kawhi, he's the dude I want.

    With their $32.5m in cap room, I think they shouldn't tie it all up in a max deal. They should shoot for something like this: (figures in per/year)
    PG1 Malcolm Brogdon $15m
    SG1 JJ Reddick $8m
    C1 Brook Lopez $3m
    PG2 Patrick Beverley $4.7 room MLE
    C2 JaVale McGee $1.7m
    SG2 Rodney Hood $3m
    SF2 Thabo Sefolosha $3m

    Lots of defense and lots of shooting and spacing. Hood can be a microwave off the bench, with he and Kuzma being the main scorers for the 2nd unit

    PG=Brogdon, Beverley, Bonga
    SG=Reddick, Hood
    SF=LBJ, Sefolosha
    PF=AD, Kuzma
    C=Lopez, McGee, Wagner

    Keep in mind, a lot of teams have alot of cap space this summer. Guys that you’d normaly be able to get for $4mil might decide to take $8-10mil elsewhere.
