I'd still take Lance on a Vet Min if he'd go for it...

    WELL OKAY THEN. :D

I'm not sure what that even means for the starting five... Kuzma slotted to start then? I think we still end up starting Bradley though to defend point guards unless LeBron wants to chase point guards around??

    LeBron
    Green
    Kuzma
    Davis
    Cousins?

Yeah I mean that'd be my choice. :D

So I guess maybe it'd be semantics somewhat with LeBron running point.

I’d still run Lebron at “small forward”

    Bradley
    Green
    Lebron
    AD
    Boogie

    Kuz 6th man

Lebron runs point, Bradley and Green handle the perimeter assignments.

Yeah I don’t think Lebron moving to PG really means anything. He was always going to have that role offensively, and defensively I think it’s obvious he wouldn’t be able to do it. We still need another starter in the lineup that can defend PG’s. My guess is Bradley or KCP gets the starting nod.

I think this is probably the depth chart to open the season.

    James / Rondo / Cook / Caruso
    Bradley / Pope / Daniels
    Green / Dudley / Horton-Tucker
    Davis / Kuzma
    McGee / Cousins

Classic fabricated talk show dual. When Bomani and the other guy prepped for the show, one guy chose to argue the one side and the other, the other side.

Bottom line is, if the Lakers do not have major injuries going into the playoffs and all the way through it, they are winning the title. Too much talent and too much firepower with defense.

    If Lebron starts at the 1, I see it at;
    Lebron
    Danny
    Kuz
    AD
    Mcgee

The other guy is an idiot.

How’s he gonna throw out Lou, Shamet and Harrell out there as if Kuz, Cousins, Cook aren’t contributors? Please.

The Lakers interior size this year is what’s going to win us games. Rebounds, blocks, and scoring.

The perimeter game will balance out with any team, but no one will have the same front court that we do. Zubac, Harrell, and Green? Don’t make me laugh.

Meh, Pablo is a NY guy, he’s probably in bed by the 2nd quarter or most west coast NBA games. He’s just throwing names out there he recognizes from seeing the Clippers in the playoffs, probably the first time he watched them last season, picking up on the “Clippers” are awesome narrative of his west coast ESPN colleagues. Seriously, the ESPN narrative today that’s apparently being told to be repeated by all of their people is “Clippers are deeper than the Lakers.” No facts are stated after, only that statement is made as fact.

I agreed with gcc this would be our likely starting lineup, so

I don't like the defense here. I'd rather replace Kuz with a more capable wing defender and let Kuz give us a scoring boost off of the bench where his offense will be more needed.

I think the starting lineup is going to be:

    Lebron
    Bradley
    Green
    AD
    Cousins

As everyone is mentioning, Lebron plays point on offense and on defense, Bradley chases around the other teams point guard.

A good way to think about this is it’s going to be the better version of Philly where Simmons plays point and we have AD instead of Embiid

    Starting lineup should be:

    Bradley
    Green
LeBron (he would play point guard on offense)
    AD
    McGee

    Bench:
    Cousins
    Kuzma
    KCP
    Cook
    Rondo

    Depth (in case of injuries):
Caruso (I hope he's in the rotation and not rondo but I doubt it happens)
    Dudley
    Daniels
    THT
    Norvell (2-way)

I think with that last roster spot if we can somehow get Iggy...we would be set.

But wow...our bench looks STRONG with Cousins/Kuzma/KCP headlining. I think we have one of the best benches in the league if not THE best bench in the league!

For those who want to start McGee, doesn't spacing concern you? The #1 weapon we have is the pick and roll with Davis/LeBron. The best way to do that is to space the floor out and give those two plenty of room to drive.

Cousins didn't shoot great last year, but for his career is at least a solid shooter, Green is obviously fantastic, and Bradley is really good. I'd prefer that starting five so that we can really space out the floor. Cousins actually doesn't lose us much on defense if anything. His numbers were very similar to McGee's.

He's been working on his shot and has decent form? Sank a bunch of 3s with no pressure granted 2 days ago at the facility with that guy's phone footage.
