I’m greedy. I’ve never given up hope on Kawhi.

Somewhere a few months back, it just became NBA reporter gospel that Kawhi was choosing between Toronto & the Clips and I’ve never really heard a specific explanation for us going from his #1 destination last year to simply not being part of the equation.

Kawhi’s probably the most difficult athlete to get a read on in all of sports, so I don’t believe these reporters know this as certainly as they’re portraying. Guess we’ll find out soon.

I'll replace my bi love with Kawahi instead... I can get emotional attachment with Leonard

Voted Butler. Somehow it seems most realistic... I don't know.

I don't think I'll complain about any of the above options, as longs as the "mix of tier 2 guys" is legit & not everyone is a one year rental. But F it, let's go for Kawhi. Why not..?

We must sign a star guard. Butler or Kemba...

I still prefer Kyrie or Kawhi (if they are interested but I doubt it)

Kuzma will be our third star (when we look back in 4 years). If his draft were done today, knowing what we know now (Mitchell, Tatem, Fox, Ball, etc.), he would be a lottery pick easy, maybe even top 10. If Frank can get him to buy in defensively (including the film studying, feet movement, and hand placements needed), in the mold of a poor-man's Klay or PG (look at where they were in years 2 and 3), he could develop into a fringe all-star, a trajectory like a Middleton or Siakam, when Supers like Bron and AD are supporting him and his team is winning 55-plus games per season. That performance against the Cs reminded me of early Klay and PG developing.

Keeping him in this trade has not been mentioned enough. We gave up 3 top five picks, plus a bunch of other 1st rounders (including Hart) (not to mention "they" have our other top 10 pick, Jules). We got to keep a lottery pick (my revisionist history) that is the best compliment to Bron and AD of the bunch. (BTW, I like Wagner playing with AD and Bron too - kid plays with heart)

Now watch, Griff will ask for Kuz if we try to move the effective date of the trade to carve out more cap space. AD should waive his trade kicker to make sure he keeps Kuz as a teammate for the next 5-8 years.

I can't believe we kept him. Were those rumors that Griffin valued him over Ball totally false?

I feel pretty good about Kawhi coming to the Lakers. Let’s hope it comes true.

I do too for some reason. I just get the feeling if they appeal to how The Lakers have treated the super stars we've had, that will get him more than anything

Getting Kawhi would be the ultimate middle finger to the whole NBA. Och, the outcry, can you even imagine. ESPN would lose their s***, Pop would retire, Griffin and Cuban on suicide watch.

I voted for Kawhi, even though more realistically I think it could be Butler. All the smoke around Kawhi and us has given me optimism though, and I can see the appeal of winning a 3rd Finals MVP with a 3rd different franchise, especially one as storied as the Lakers, being very appealing. He does that and his legacy only goes up and up. I really don’t get the Clippers angle either, maybe had Durant not gotten injured, but I just don’t see it now, trading for AD has to have made us so much more appealing to top free agents.
