Babe wasn't always that round fat guy. And he wasn't a puss with the hard helmet with an ear flap. Ohtani with a good first outing on the mound once the season started and now 1 home run in each of his 1st three games as a batter. Good start kid. Hey no pressure with the media or anything. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...s-third-consecutive-game-athletics/495580002/ Watch out you ******* Dodgers with your unyielding and 5 years now and counting stance on the no TV issue. How can you not realize you're losing an entire young generation of kids growing up who won't give a crap. Mike Trout .... YAY! Ohtani .... YAY! Do it!!
Pitching game 2 against Oakland .... allowed 1 hit no runs 7 innings and 12 strikeouts. Now 2 - 0. Awesome start to the regular season after struggling in spring training. http://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/la-sp-angels-ohtani-hernandez-20180408-story.html
Ohtani with his touching 100MPH heater, 2-0 record, 2.08 ERA, 18 SOs, 3 HR, 367 BA and 11 RBIs .... on the mound 11:15AM today against Kansas City. Angels best start in their history and record in the majors with 13 -3. Aaack .... rain delay or cancel? Bleep! Cancelled. I was up for watching this today ahead of OKC vs Utah.
Ohtani on the mound instead tonight first start at home. But now it's against Boston ... the only team with a better record than the Angels (13 -2) and against David Price a top tier pitcher. Instead of bottom of the standings KC on Sunday past. Pusses. It was "too cold to play". So huge game for the rookie early on. Welcome to the majors "Meat". "Why's he always calling me meat?"
Ohtani got a nasty blister and was pulled after 2 innings. Hopefully he can recover well from that. I think we know another pitcher who seems to get recurrent blisters (Rich Hill).
Ohtani is certainly fun to watch. I have a feeling he'll come to Earth a little as teams catch up to him and figure him out, but the talent is extraordinary.
4 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings against the Astros and ERA up to 4.43 but Angels won the game. However ... struck out 7 and 4 pitches at 100mph and 2 at 101mph. They say in Japan he got stronger and faster as the season progressed. http://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/la-sp-shohei-ohtani-hernandez-20180424-story.html
Last year was a fluke year. Who knows when we will be back in that position. They opted for the Darvish discount and got burned. Didn’t resign Morrow this season. Now we are back to patchwork bullpen and no confidence.
