after seeing LeFlop, I can really appreciate even more having an athlete to root for who wouldn't give the competition the satisfaction of thinking he was hurt.

The Lakers dined with Jahlil Okafor on Monday night, and he might well be their pick over guards D'Angelo Russell and Emmanuel Mudiay, who already broke bread with Lakers officials and later went through drills and workouts, as Okafor will Tuesday morning.

If the Minnesota Timberwolves opt for the all-around, modern-game talents of center Karl-Anthony Towns with the top pick, it would be shocking for the Lakers to pass up the most complete...

Here's my latest on the Lakers and potential #2 pick Jahlil Okafor, who many fans (though not as many here at LB) seem to be overlooking due to the Towns hype.

The NBA Draft is quickly approaching and two big men currently sit atop nearly every draft board: Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor. The two battled it out for draft position for much of the college season, with Okafor leading the way early and Towns coming on strong late. As of right now most experts believe that Towns will be taken by the Minnesota Timberwolveswith the first overall pick, leaving theLos Angeles Lakers to select Jahlil Okafor with the 2nd pick.

The Lakers maintain they are hoping to audition as many as eight players aside from Towns and Okafor that they could select with the pick, including Ohio State guard D'Angelo...

This past season for the Los Angeles Lakers was a tough one filled with questionable decisions, unrelenting injuries, and ugly basketball. While the eventual payoff for such misery was the number 2 pick in the 2015 draft, fans still suffered through the worst year in franchise history.

Fortunately, in the midst of all the turmoil there were a few bright spots, a few energizing players who kept fans tuning in and hoping to see something positive on the court. One such player was...
