Nick Young right now.

Every time he's mentioned I cringe. Or rather that's last month's reaction. I'm really reaching the point at which I simply don't care. This has been a tough season. A terrible team, terrible shooting from Nick, absurd interactions between Byron and Nick, and injuries from Nick have really changed my view on Swaggy. I'm hoping the season's end puts a halt to these feelings, too, but I'm not sure.

What's bothering you, Lakers fans?

Thoughts and prayers to Hot Rod's family and friends. I enjoyed his short time coming back to the Lakers as a broadcaster. R.I.P. Hot Rod :(

My inaugural piece at my new gig as a writer for www.silverscreenandroll.com!

Editor's note: I'd like to welcome Trevor Lane to Silver Screen & Roll. He's a life-long Lakers fan who embraces the history of the franchise while looking ahead at the big picture. He should be another great addition to the site and help round out the level and style of content we want to continue cultivating in our corner of the Internet. Welcome him aboard and enjoy his debut!

The Los Angeles Lakers have long been one of the greatest franchises in professional sports. Their illustrious history is littered with championship parades, superstar players, and unforgettable moments. Accordingly, the Lakers boast the largest fan base of any team in the NBA by a large margin, and have historically demanded nothing but the very best from their purple and gold hardwood heroes.

It's easy...

Wish there was more explanation for the ranking, but they did mention this:

Ford:But those bad teams -- the Lakers, Nets and Knicks -- have so many resources and believe so strongly that their big markets will lure top talent that they've lost their ability to innovate. They tried to spend their way to a championship while the other teams above them (with the exception of the Heat) have used innovation to get there...

Thorpe: In L.A., it's hard to know who to blame, since ownership could be far more involved than we know, but there is no doubt the team currently lacks a plan.

Brutal, especially with the C Bags being ranked 7th overall.
