    I think they could.

They also apparently gave a convincing speech to Mudiay's agent because Mudiay is planning on working out for them. The convinced Mudiay that they could have a rotation with him, Rubio, and LaVine.

After watching KG's nasty, snarling, profane act on TV growing up all these years...... who wouldn't be thrilled to get a chance to be around that every day? A guard maybe? But LOLOLOL at Minny if they blow the obvious choice with Towns.

Lavine, Wiggins and Towns thats a very dynamic core that could be good in a handful of years. It's hard to see how they can blow this pick but anything is possible, ;)

isn't any non-superstar on a non-rookie contract "available for the right deal"?

if there's any team that would completely blow their #1 pick it would be minnesota

i could honestly see them taking russell #1 overall and i'm not saying he'd be a bust, but if they actually pass up on towns/okafor the whole franchise should fold immediately. wiggins/towns or okafor could be lethal in a couple seasons

I don't think flip saunders will outsmart himself here. he'll take towns or okafor.

picking Russell over the two bigs would be a total kahn move. actually, picking like, rj hunter over the two bigs would be a kahn move.

Kahn would get like Winslow or something :D

I can't imagine Minny NOT picking Towns. A better fit AND "better" potential? Why wouldn't you pick that?

They want Mudiay. Good for them. Give them Hill for Rubio.

If they want Mudiay, they should trade down to 3 or 4 and acquire assets.
