I haven't watched a game in weeks. There's just a general sense of apathy about this Team right now.
I love my Lakers, but I've got more important things to do than spend time watching a Team that is obviously just coasting through the middle of the Season.

abeer wrote it was the MIA game. For me - dupe that I am, apparently - it was the game after that: waking up and trouncing MEM was what would keep me thinking we have a chance this year. 'Cuz I was near the end of my rope. Then the 4th Q of that game and I realized I had become a Non-Believer. End of rope.

I now approach watching our team with trepidation. I think "If we suck and lose, no big thing; there are more important things in life." And that's true. BUT: it always leaves a lingering negative vibe when we lose. No matter how bad we apparently are. It leaves me feeling lousy for hours afterwards. Cannabis helps and thank goddess we live in a non-moron state where it's legal. Drinking doesn't work for me with regards to this Laker fan thing.

What a difference from last year: exact same record as last year, but all of us had expected to miss the play-in, much less the playoffs. And then we dumped some major baggage, got some D guys and made it to the WCF, and were - arguably - in all 4 game games though we got swept.

This year I expected us to be "really good" and...what a letdown. I can't remember a year where my hopes for the Lakers went from Very High to Very Low in a matter of 3 1/2 weeks.

Some day the story with this team will be told. I don't believe I've heard it yet. Yea: injuries. But that's not it. Every team has 'em, and our two superstars have been surprisingly healthy. We had a very good to at-times stellar defensive team, but that has gone the way of the iPod, dodo, Hapsburg Empire, whatever. I have had some problems with Ham's usage of players's time, but I always second-guess our coach...I was second-guessing Bill Sharman, fer crissakes. I at times wondered WTF Riley was thinking, Phil...Is Shaq right? Ham hasn't won anything and AD and Lebron aren't with him in energy or spirit or belief or whatever that psychological dynamic is? Maybe. It doesn't feel correct to me. Lebron and AD know how good they are. What I wonder is what they think of their supporting cast. They're not about to mouth off now, right?

Gawd, this is depressing. I expect us to get trounced by OKC in a couple hours. Hope not. A part of me is still a 13 year old kid, always thinking the Lakers can win. They can bounce back. Last year after Rui and Vando, even Malik, dumping Brick, it felt almost too good to be true. That's probably why this season blows so much.

Here's my Big Hope for the rest of this season: someone knocks off the Bags. That's all I ask. And the way the C-Bags look? I may be dreamin'.

Meh..as long as we remain healthy, we're going to make a run. We have too much talent, not to. The season is far from over.

Ham and his Prince affair is worse than Phil and Luke way back in the day. Every stat in the world shows, he shouldn't be starting or playing as many minutes. Pimple is delusional and hell bent on playing his boy though. That challenge he took... un freakin real.

i've started to wonder if ham was hired as more of a recruiter than a coach. it seems he was instrumental in getting schroder last year and then in getting prince this year. both guys were great signings at their price, and both guys get/got a long leash/lots of opportunities from ham. that maybe doesn't explain wood, though, as ham mothballed him without very obvious reasons, and i think he also recruited him.

what does "blow up" mean? i wouldn't be shocked if he ends up finding a role as a backup pg at some point.

but i'll admit i was among the first ones ready to move on from the pippen experiment, so i'll have egg on my face if he ends up becoming a tyus jones type.

I guess blow up is solid NBA player like so many of our draft picks that went onto success elsewhere.

Tell me again how our lack of defense isn’t the problem.

pathetic. absolutely f***ing pathetic. the only reason they won the last two games was because the opponent missed wide open 3s that they usually make any other night

shame on jeanie and the FO for giving a rookie HC a 5 year contract to coach a championship contending team. there is zero excuse for this roster to be a game under .500 this far into the season. it's even worse when you consider they had virtually the same record last season around this time with westbrick still on the roster

it's absolutely criminal how they're throwing away a season in which lebron and AD are playing at such an elite level

Just crazy mismanagement after freaking out because of the Nets big 3 in ‘21 and blowing that team up that only lost likely because AD got hurt. The Westbrook trade absolutely tanked us.
