Thoughts on this 10 part series? (2 shown so far). What stood out to me: I knew Pippen was underpaid, but I agree with the owner who highly suggested he should not sign the deal and should not come asking to renogiate in a few years. Pippen getting slapped by Oakley and not fighting back was very shocking. Rodman asking for a vacation during the season. Phil was okay with it as long as Jordan agreed. Jordan finally okayed a 48 hour trip to Vegas. Jordan was highly disrespectful to the GM, who really did a great job. Not really surprising because Jordan is a jerk, but he sure wanted professional respect but didn't give it in return. Can't wait for the next 8 episodes.
Looks like Netflix outside US and ESPN every Sunday night in US for new installments, with ones you missed during the week. One of the ESPN stations is showing censored versions for family viewing as well.
You won 6 in 8 years and you spent the majority of the 1st 2 episodes pissing on Krause ? MJ , Phil and Pippen are old and bitter . The most ridiculous thing is Pippen is still crying over a bad decision HE made
Makes me want to see a Laker one about Shaq/Kobe and the last 3 peat we had. I was able to watch the next couple of episodes so...I'll refrain from saying something specific about this.
^Well we had a "Birth of a Dynasty", but it was more about the 1999-2000 NBA season: https://spectrumsportsnet.com/shows/birth-of-a-dynasty
One thing that strikes me about MJ is how he holds deep grudges to this day. It's one thing that I'm glad Kobe didn't have. Kobe was able to mend fences with Shaq after horrible things were said (Shaq cheated on his wife, etc.) and was on good terms with people like Raja Bell.
Shaq was a huge, but Kobe was the bigger man when it came down to it. It was fascinating to watch the perspective of the two change as their careers and post careers went on.
This has definitely gotten better with each episode. I was meh after the first episode or 2, but I’m really enjoying it now. I believe it does a pretty good job of balancing the worship vs reality of Jordan.
This is good but doesn't really match what was "sold " ... There isn't enough content about the 97-98 , at least yet
