    Social issues: very liberal; I'm pro-choice, pro-LGBT issues, favor legalization of prostitution, the criminal justice system needs to be reformed
    Foreign policy: non-interventionist, strong advocate of nuclear non-prolifertion, and if we have to do something it needs to be within the international legal framework and have strong international consensus...we shouldn't be unilaterally doing anything.
    Drugs: legalize all drugs
    Guns: center, moderate; I have a alot of mixed feelings on this issue
    Economics: I favor mixed economies, I generally subscribe to Keynesian economics and a progressive tax system
    Global Warming: It's happening, it's caused by man, and the gov't needs to implement aggressive policies to try and reverse it.

    And as for a thinker on the left, i'm not sure if she's considered an intellectual in the progressive world, but i've read several of Naomi Klein's books and I her writings pretty good.

    Social issues: very conservative; I'm pro-life, anti-LGBT issues, prostitutes should be executed, just give people the needle if they misbehave
    Foreign policy: nuke everyone, F NATO, F the UN.
    Drugs: Declare actual war on drug cartels and send in the U.S. Military, civilian casualties are acceptable
    Guns: Americans should be allowed fully automatic rifles and rocket launchers. In rare cases, small nuclear devices for some private citizens
    Economics: Tax the poor at 50% and tax the rich at 5%
    Global Warming: Aliens
