Will THT be a RFA or UFA at the end of this Year..? Will the Lakers actually be able to match offers..?
I'm assuming they'd let Matthews, Morris, Cook & Duds all walk to make Cap Space for this guy, but not sure what their options are.
Gotta keep this Kid at all costs.

Between Gasol and THT, "garbage time" is still must-see TV. The game was over but I couldn't move on bc THT and Gasol were making ridiculous plays.

LOL you think he lost them all of a sudden and wasn't some other reason maybe like take off point or being pooped a little after sprint up court? Just an observation.

He never had great hops haha, he has a 26” standing vertical and 34.5” max vertical, that’s a little more than KCP and a little worse than Caruso who has a 36. He just has a 7’1 wingspan that makes it seem like he can jump more than he can. He might even jump higher now than he could when that measurement was taken considering he was kind of fat at that time. :D

Still think we should all chip in or do a Go Fund Talen's Hops for the Boing Vert online Academy. $7 and he'll turn into Charles Barkley.

Dudz should be on the coaching staff or FO by then. Matthews, Morris and Cook depend on price. Morris should be free again thanks to his brother. Schroder will probably get his extension. I don't see Harrell leaving. Kostas and Dudz are really the only two I don't expect to be back off that list. BUT at the same time I would've said the same thing last year. Definitely didn't expect a roster overhaul going into this season.

THT makes $900k this year. Even if THT balls out this year, I don't see him getting more than 10x his salary. Another reason we shouldn't over use him is to keep him cost efficient on his next salary. He shouldn't start because he isn't ready, he won't get the same looks next to AD and Bron, but that's another reason why starting him is a terrible idea... it'll only drive his price up.

The better he looks, do you still include him in a Beal deal? Curious as to the consensus here. I do and I give them anyone not named Bron or AD. THT should be good and looks like he could be a starter. Beal is at the door of great and is an ideal fit next to our 2 guys.

If we play our cards right, years from now we can be asking who we're getting to pair with THT after AD retires.

you think he could be that good? i'm not sure, though i've always said he had a high ceiling. i know you're looking at a guy who could start, score 20, and defend credibly right now, though.

and the bottom feeders see that, too. someone will probably try the full arenas offer, and we'll match.

He reminds me a lot of Eric Gordon. I think he will be a productive scorer but I don't know about all star. With him/Lebron fitting so well compared to Lebron/Schroder I hope the Lakers do consider a switch in the lineup. KCP can chase the other teams PGs

I could see that, but Gordon has a 6-9 wingspan and THT has a 7-1 wingspan. That length is what makes him unique. On defense, he can poke it away like he did against the Beard or soar for the block that typically someone hits size can't get. On offense, it makes him harder to defender on the apex of his J or the release of his driving layup. I think he's a bit more unorthodox in his attacks on the rim too.

Highlight package. He's definitely been studying Bron with those full court passes.

    I think so.

He already has a lot of tools that just need refining and expanding. He’s developing while being surrounded by a competent coaching staff, the best player in the game and some well seasoned vets. I think the biggest thing is if his body is done growing or not. An inch or two to height would be great for his lack of springy athleticism.
