Oh agreed. I think we should do the Indy deal if we can get them to budge just a little.

If they just come down to reality for Russ and ONE pick it should be a done deal.

Or even two protected picks. Or a first and a second, etc.

With how good Wembayama (sp?) looks, they should be the ones giving the Lakers a first round pick so that they can tank properly

Protections aren't our problem. If you trade 2 picks, you have no picks to trade until 2031
    True!
Russ is for tanking teams what Giannis is for contenders. If you have him you're closer to your goal

protections still help--particularly if they're the kind the morph into 2nds over time--if you find yourself sucking terribly later. but yes, the larger issue is simply having zero draft capital to trade.

After past histories and all that went on from last season’s trade deadline, “f*** those picks” and this whole off season …. Scoreboard Darvin?

I'm in on that trade too. Just not 2 unprotected firsts. 1 unprotected to take Russ and 1 swap.

Really couldn't believe the ESPN crew kept referring to them as our "big 4."

We have a big two. And for salary purposes, a "big 3." After that, stop!

This is a great photo. Capturing everyone laughing - let’s hope with winning we build a good camaraderie.

I thought it was Lebron AD Nunn and Reaves. Our best players.

Reaves is our 7th best player and that's cool.

If he was our 7th best that would be cool because we would be really good. He is easily third.

The good news is we have a lot of good young talent to sift through and see what they can do. I like a line up of AD, Lebron, Reaves, Nunn along with either Jones/Bryant/Gabriel. Initially I wanted Bryant but he hasn't shown me what I wanted to see, really neither has Jones. Gabriel is outplaying them both so far. I know as long as Russ is putting in the effort and smiling Ham will start him. At some point though if he wants to keep his defense first mantra going that will have to change.
