How eager are the Lakers to help an opposing team get drunk on $47 million of cap space with a two-draft-pick garnish?

Russ for Russ, Russell Westbrook for D’Angelo Russell. It all comes full circle. :D

Frankly...I'd rather not help another Western Conference playoff team, clear 47 million in cap space next season on us. God forbid giving them or anyone else a draft pick to go along with it.

I’d trade Russ for a quarter pounder with cheese and they wouldn’t even have to throw in fries.

Westbrook has always been a ball dominant player. Can't do that here with James. Hard to believe he's fallen this far.

    Sudden hankering for a Filet-O-Fish.

The top of that outfit looks like he’s a magician and the bottom looks like the wicked witch of the west with giant feet.

    No thank you.
    He’s not a lead guard. He’s doesn’t make his team mates better. He’s a terrible defender. He’s a snitch.
All he can do is shoot, and only in meaningless regular season games.

He can wear as many kinds of sorcerer outfits he wants, still turns it over and can't find the hoop, period.

i'll play devil's advocate: i do this without question. russell is an expiring contract, too. and the difference between him and westbrook is that if russell is actively harming your chances, you can just sit him. finch sat him for his backup in game 6 and nobody batted an eyelash--imagine if the lakers did that with westbrook, even in a random game in january. oh wait, you don't have to imagine. it was a s***storm.

i don't think people understand how much westbrook's clout was a huge problem for us. it tied vogel's hands (i know, i know, YOU would have benched him and risked firing and working in the league again...). almost anyone else doesn't.
