Add to that, this is a crappy market for talent. Goodness. And Lebron may "approve" of these signings for better or worse.

The goal for me is PO's. We are getting there after 5 years of not being there; and we have the flexibility to add a Max next season and possibly get rid of Deng when the there is more money out there.

Sure, Rondo is a wild addition, but I'm excited to see what happens.

I love this move, wanted him here last year too.

Sidenote, everything happens when I decide to step away from the computer. Holy crap what happened the past couple hours. An arms race out here in the West.

why do you like it? he doesn't fit with our style of play, and he's a notorious malcontent/coach-killer.

i know there are things to like, too, but just seems like a square peg here.

After getting Lebron, I think it's safe to say we aren't playing the all out/balls to the wall style we did last year. We could still run but we'll play more half court offense too, I'm thinking Kobe/Pau days + bench mob.

Rondo gives us another ball handler out there to direct the offense, lighten the load on Lebron, he's going to find the open guy and we're going to be hockey assists central. Just look at his play in the playoffs last year, he played a huge part in upsetting the higher seed Trailblazers.

I've never been a Rondo fan, but he fits one of our biggest needs. A Veteran PG & Lonzo Insurance.
If I can learn to accept LeBron, I can get on board with Rondo too..

he did play well. and his last playoff team had to essentially suspend him...during the playoffs! there's a pattern with this guy, and it's not good.

i would have thought he was going to sign a vet min, same as stephenson.

I love Rondo's game. This is a huge move. We are building a defensive juggernaut to beat the Warriors. We are stacking tough grind it out players that get in your face and make life miserable for opponents. Basketball is a game of mental toughness. Rondo is tough.

People are really harping about our shooting....look at the league you guys. That 3ball is what this league has turned into unfortunately.

Rondo, Stevenson, Zo, BI are all going to hound that 3 point line. If we add Kawhi to that, its just not even fair anymore.

Shooting comes and goes, but if you bust your butt on D, that's consistent and sustainable.

We may have paid too much for the guy, but on a 1 year deal, its a great get for us.

Supposedly Dray is close with Boogie...who gives a f***. Rajon is close with AD....lets get that recruitment going.

That’s unfair. Just because I won’t be rooting for him individually doesn’t mean I will be rooting against him. Those are two totally different things

We have put together an interesting squad, and haven’t lost much in the way of depth as of yet, so we’ll see what happens

Can't stand that cricket looking ex-******.

However from a basketball perspective it makes sense. We now have depth at the PG position.

    I still hate him though.

Woj on SC right now: The Rondo signing is a message to Lonzo. Lakers weren’t happy Lonzo’s camp leaked his knee injury to prevent Lonzo from getting traded. Said teams that were inquiring about deals wanted details on that knee. Also said he feels Rondo was brought in to push Lonzo in practice and to make him better and to get some competition going.

F Rondo. Cancer who can't shoot. And I really don't care about elaborations about how this makes sense.

    I don't want this guy...

Enough is enough. Rondo, Stephenson McGee... F Pelinka and whatever mental midget that was involved besides him.

Wtf happened to our values of hard work, excellence, professionalism, unselfishness etc..

Napier plus Cousins could have been had for less than what Rondo gets.

    Horrible signing.

How do we know that though? Were we in the room when Cousins had his meeting with the Lakers? We don't know how much they discussed. I don't think he would have signed here for that kind of money. He signed with GS cheap to heal up and get a ring, with the chance of a big payday next year. We might even still end up with him, you never know.
