Kind of feel like they are still missing the ability to shoot.

I have special memories of that Rondo shot other than 'just' beating the C Bags on the parquet. My whole family and I were with my dad watching it, and when Rondo hit that we all went nuts--even my wife, and she doesn't really care about hoops. But when Do hit that shot, it was the first time I saw a genuine happy face on him since my mom died a month earlier. Pure joy for my dad, who's been a Laker fan since they came out to LA. It's times and memories like these where sports can create a special bond across generations. Cliche or not, it's true.

I'm terribly sorry about your Mom, that's never easy. Hows your Dad now? Is he excited about our AARP Squad LOL

Thanks Chick. My mom was suffering with MS to the point that when she passed she was more vegetable, and not loving life. My dad is uch better now, but still can't talk about her w/o choking up. Thx for asking.

Dude, he's loving the s*** out of all our Uncle Drews. He especially likes Bron, Dawight and Rondo--Coach Vogel's D-mindset too, so he's stoked for the season.

But the man does have flaws unlike me. He hates the Dodgers and is pulling for the gints this weekend

Right? But he’s an Angel fan and hates the Dodgers, so it makes sense, sorta how I like the Dodgers, and by default the A’s—the old enemy of my enemy bit.

    But he’s a good man nonetheless :p

Year after year we go after players that can't shoot threes or FTs... And never learn a lesson.

Kind of amazing. Rondo can't play anymore. If he is a coach, I get it. If he plays, I don't.

Ellington, Anthony, Monk, Ariza, James, Nunn, Bazemore, Davis, hopefully improved THT …. all can shoot the ball to some degree. Why focus on Rondo who’s clearly wanted for other reasons?

Huh? We just signed a bunch of 3 pt shooters, and we didn’t sign Rondo to shoot threes. He’s gonna be fine.

Well, for what it's worth, he shot over 40% last season, and 44% for the Clips.

For what it's worth here's some of the guys he is looking forward to playing with.

    https://www.yahoo.com/sports/lakers-rajon-rondo-reveals-teammates-150049510.html

.... and is maybe having a "senior moment" recalling who he played against in the 2010 championship series?

“I’m looking forward to talking to Trev, learning his mind and his focus. Trev beat me a couple years back in the ’10 finals, so we had a lot of great battles.”
