I know we have a deep rotation of guards primarily with DG, Bradley, Quinn Cook, Caruso, Troy Daniels, and KCP but Quinn Cook and Daniels could get 20 minutes on most teams. The simple fact that they came here knowing their role would be heavily decreased and they are on contract years should be a testament of how professional these two are. If Troy Daniels had more playing time, I think he'd be above 40% shooting from three. We're likely going to get Collison if he is serious about returning but man, I would hate to see any of our players go. This team just loves supporting each other.

For all the crap Rob gets from a minor subset of fans that fixate on the weaknesses (being not perfect) of the roster, he sure put together a group of quality guys. They genuinely root for each other even though some aren’t getting any or enough minutes. And stay ready even while reportedly the team isn’t practicing a lot.

And Vogel gets all the credit in the world for fostering that chemistry wth his coaching style and philosophy. He said at his presser that is what he was going to do.

I’d say Daniels, Kuz, Cook, then KCP.

I totally agree. There was so much garbage coming out of the media about how screwed up our FO was this summer, so much hyper critical nitpicking about the fact that we didn't get Lue and "settled" on Vogel, so much nonsense about how Jeannie was under the control of the Rambii and that Rob was too inexperienced and only a conduit of Klutch without any other ability to put together a roster. Then the snub from Kawhi and Ballmer paying off the media to hype up the Paper Clips as the new appointed kings of the league. Ugh.

Bottom line is Rob DID put together a strong group and our FO was right to let our team do it's own talking by winning. We're in first place in the West and looking really, really good right now. Cheers Laker fans!! Feels good to be back on top!

What we are doing with our shooters is the equivalent of signing Rodman and then having him stand and wait for corner threes.

They did this last season and they are doing it again.

It shouldn't take injury for the coach to give Daniels and Cook a proper run. They were hired for a reason.

I used to try to give head coaches the benefit of the doubt like Byron Scott and Luke until they just completely made me lose faith in them.

i’m still OK with this team of coaches, and the results are definitely there. but it does make you curious how sometimes fans see things and it feels like the coaches don’t. In this case I’m going to assume that our excellent coaching staff team has very good reasons behind it.

but there very well could be politics involved as we all know

Guys like Cook and Daniels try hard on defense, but they have their limitations. In a guard oriented league, if they aren’t hitting their shots then they are typically a net negative. I like both guys, but I understand why they get so many DNPs. I think they’ll get more opportunities here and there as the season continues.

Cook was fantastic tonight. Next man up mentality and he kept us in the game. Give the man more minutes!

His off the dribble shooting is a rare skill on this roster .

Thought it was his best game as a Laker. His 7 point run was big. I firmly believe we would've went to OT had he taken that last shot and not deferred to LeChoke.

To be fair, he only got to play in 6 of the 14 games in December, and 3 of those were less than a handful of minutes. He’s a solid player, I wish he’d get a little more time, but I understand his lack of playmaking means we get more Rondo.

Co-sign on Cook. He look like he was on his way to the gym.

After the mourning, this tragedy will have a positive effect on some people’s lives. That makes me feel good.

This is the team that we should keep... Forget about making trades. If we are going to compete for a title, we should do it with these guys who are all going through hell. Let's keep this team and do it for Kobe.

^ agreed. At this time, family is more important than winning. This team has been described as a brotherhood and I'm sure all the guys are even closer now. I'd rather potentially lose with what we have while valuing family rather than move on like it's just another NBA season where guys come and go via trades.
